50-150W 1/8-brick Open-frame Telecom Power Supply VCB Series

Introduction

Mornsun launched a 1/8 brick high-performance DC/DC converter VCB48_EBO-xxW(F)R3(-N) series. This series is available with 50W/75W/100W/120W/150W and features high reliability and low load power consumption.

Moreover, MORNSUN ensured the fast delivery of the VCF series with a stable supply chain management and strong production capacity, aiming to support the high-speed development of the 5G industry.

The shortage in the semiconductor industry is constantly troubling many manufacturers.

Given its complete supply chain and strong production capacity, Mornsun provides a controllable and free-from-outside influence solution to ensure stable supply and fast delivery.

2. Meets the higher efficiency requirements

The uneven 5G data flow and the use time varies requires the actual loads of telecom power supplies to change from light to full load. Mornsun’s VCF48_EBO-xxW(F)R3-N series adopts frequency conversion and active clamp technology, effectively improving the conversion efficiency under each load, the average efficiency is greater than 90% with a load of 5%/50%/100%.

3. Outstanding performance, high reliability

As the heart of the 5G telecom equipment, reliable power supplies determine the whole system’s reliability. Improving heat dissipation and thermal conductivity to ensure reliability is one of the main requirements for 5G telecom power supplies.

The VCF48_EBO-xxW(F)R3-N) meets IEC/UL/EN62368 and DOSA package standards. It features wide operating temperature ranges from -40℃ to +100℃ and has an excellent temperature derating curve, effectively simplifying the thermal design of the whole system.

The high output efficiency lowers the component heat generation, greatly improving product life and reliability. In addition, the modules adopt frequency reduction technology, with no-load power consumption as low as 0.96W which can greatly reduce the standby power consumption of the whole system.

4. Complete protection functions

The application environment of telecom power supply has high requirements for lightning and surge protection, not only to ensure the communication normal but also to ensure personal safety.

This series has input under-voltage protection, output over-current, short circuit, and over-voltage protection, protecting against nearly all kinds of abnormal conditions and improving the reliability of the whole system.

It can be widely used in industrial control, electric power, instrumentation, and communication applications.

Typical application: Optical module switch system, server, optical network equipment, enterprise switch, optical transmission equipment, core network, bearer network, base station.
