RECOM now offers another option for customers needing a 5W, wide input DC/DC with the new, REC5K-RW, in an economical, industry-standard, plastic DIP24 package. The input range is 9-36VDC, and the output is 5V rated at 1A.
The REC5K-RW has agency-rated 4kVDC/1 second, 2kVAC/1 minute isolation and features low output ripple and noise for demanding industrial and other high-end applications. Operation is from -40°C to 110°C ambient, with derating. A remote on/off control is provided with typically 3mA standby current draw, and the part is protected against input under-voltage and output short circuits.
The REC5K-RW holds safety certifications to UL 62368-1, C22.2 No. 62368-1, and IEC/EN 622368-1 and operates to 5000m altitude in a pollution degree 2 (PD2) environment. ‘Class B’ conducted EMI levels can be met with a simple external input filter, and MTBF is over 1.7MHrs at 25°C according to MIL-HDBK-217F (GB).
