Tamil Nadu, India: Honeywell Hometown Solutions India Foundation (HHSIF), the philanthropic arm of Honeywell has successfully upskilled 4000+ youth and augmented school infrastructure across Tamil Nadu over the last three years. With an investment of INR 6.5 CR, Honeywell has undertaken many upskilling programs and upgraded school infrastructure across the districts of Kanyakumari, Madurai, Namakkal, Virudhunagar and Tiruvallur. Through their very recent intervention, HHSIF in partnership with Americares India Foundation, has successfully upgraded Panchayat Union Middle School in Soorakulam village of Tirupparangunram (Madurai) under Project Anandgaon, investing close to INR 50 lakhs into the project.
By focusing on sustainable community development, Project Anandgaon aims to provide educational and community infrastructure in remote rural areas, ensuring inclusive and equitable access to quality education and sustainable technology solutions. The initiative encompasses various aspects of school development, including classroom construction, smart class setup, and the construction of WASH facilities, such as handwashing stations, toilets, and drinking water facilities.
In addition to augmenting school infrastructure, Honeywell has also undertaken many social programs in the state providing large scale upskilling as well as scholarships to students to undertake STEM certifications, thereby promoting employment opportunities for the youth. From a pan India perspective, Honeywell has impacted over 25000 youth across 12 states through structured training programs in partnership with ICT Academy and Centres of Excellence for Youth Empowerment across colleges.

We have also taken measures to improve healthcare infrastructure in multiple regions. Over the last three years, the company has invested 14.56 crores across 3 states to boost medical facilities for underprivileged communities and invested 25.9 Cr towards education infrastructure and youth upskilling across 12 states. In just this fiscal, our efforts have benefitted over 21 lakh people in these regions. Nearly 30 projects have been successfully completed in Maharashtra, 12 in Uttarakhand, 10 in Haryana and 2 in Tamil Nadu. Through sustainable community development initiatives, we aim to address the fundamental needs at the grassroots level, contributing to the overall well-being of the society,” said Ashish Modi, President, Honeywell India.
HHSIF, in collaboration with Americares, has enhanced 104 PHCs and 10 schools, benefiting over 30 lakh beneficiaries across the country. This partnership underscores Honeywell’s unwavering commitment to supporting the Indian government’s efforts to empower rural and underprivileged communities

Over the years, HHSIF has undertaken many strategic imperatives including STEM Education, Upskilling and Research supporting Youth and women; enabling sustainable community development through focus on deploying sustainable tech solutions, livelihood generation, WASH and Women empowerment; amongst others.
