As the Paris Air Show opens today, Spherea is proud to kick off this major industry event with a significant strategic announcement: the upcoming acquisition of the US subsidiary of Konrad Group. This transaction represents a key milestone in Spherea’s international growth and significantly strengthens its presence in the North American market.

Konrad GmbH and Spherea Group have entered into an agreement for Spherea to buy the US subsidiary of Konrad Group, Konrad Technology US formerly known as VI Engineering.

Based in Farmington Hills, Michigan, the organization is a premier provider of engineering and integration services for Automated Test Equipment, serving the defense, automotive, consumer products, and medical industries.

This strategic move allows Konrad to streamline its global operations while significantly expanding Spherea’s footprint in the United States.

The transaction is expected to close over the summer, pending standard regulatory approvals.

Leadership statements

“This move aligns with our long-term vision to sharpen our global focus and accelerate innovation where we see the greatest strategic potential. We are proud of what Konrad Technologies US has achieved as part of the Konrad Group and confident that, under Spherea’s leadership, the team will reach new heights. We sincerely thank the personnel of our US group for their dedication and are excited to see the impact they will continue to make in the industry.”

Michael Konrad, CEO of Konrad GmbH.

“We are pleased to welcome Konrad Technologies US’s CEO, Diane Tibbs, and her team into the Spherea family. Together, we will enhance our offerings for US- based customers by combining the strengths of Spherea and Konrad Technologies’ expertise, technologies, and capabilities. As we move forward, we will serve our customers as a unified entity under the Spherea US brand, leveraging our full capabilities to enrich customer solutions and drive further business growth.”

Patrice Bélie, CEO of Spherea Group.
