Harwin has promoted Mike Tiong to the position of Managing Director, Asia. Mike will continue to lead Harwin’s operations across Asia, with an increased focus on the company’s commercial strategy in the region. This includes driving sales growth, managing regional manufacturing, and ensuring full alignment with the strategic goals of Harwin Plc.
The promotion formalizes the wide remit Mike has held as General Manager, Asia and reflects both his strong leadership and the growing strategic importance of the region to Harwin’s global business.
Mike joined Harwin in 1994, and over the past 30 years has played a key role in expanding Harwin’s footprint across Asia. Under his guidance, the company has deepened relationships with major OEMs and delivered sustained regional growth across multiple industry sectors.
Harwin’s components are used across a wide range of demanding applications, from satellites and defense systems to industrial robotics, EVs, medical technologies and racing cars. It is renowned for its leading high-reliability connectors and the advances developed for these have also enabled the company to lead on reliability in cost-sensitive industrial and embedded applications.
