Panasonic Smart Factory Solutions India (PSFSIN), a division of a leading diversified technology company, Panasonic Life Solutions India (PLSIND), showcased its next-generation automation and software-driven smart factory solutions at Productronica India 2025 under the theme “Autonomous Factory – Skill-less Operation.” The demonstration of cutting-edge solutions, including the Surface Mount Technology (SMTs) series – NPM-GPL printer, NPM-GH and NPM-TT2 modular placement machines, PanaCIM software suite, MirAIe ProFactory smart factory platform, and Panasonic’s Operations & Maintenance (O&M) lifecycle support solutions, was aimed at enabling automation, reducing dependency on manual skills, and helping next-generation manufacturers achieve higher productivity, consistency, and cost efficiency.

The Smart Factory solutions were inaugurated in the presence of Tadashi Chiba, MD&CEO, PLSIND; Takahashi Ryotaro, MD of CPBD and Associate Vice President, Panasonic Connect; Osamu Shimada, Deputy Managing Director, Panasonic Smart Factory Solutions India (PSFSIN), PLSIND, Vishal Dahiya, Director, Factory Automation System, Panasonic Smart Factory Solutions India (PSFSIN), PLSIND, amongst other delegates.

Speaking during the inauguration, Mr. Tadashi Chiba, MD & CEO, Panasonic Life Solutions India (PLSIND), said. “India is emerging as a global manufacturing hub, with favourable initiatives like Make-in-India and the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme attracting global OEMs to set up local operations, and we are proud to be a partner in this journey of advancing the country’s self-reliance vision. Through our Smart Factory solutions, we contribute significantly to the country’s electronics industry by driving innovation, delivering cost-competitive solutions, and addressing both local and regional demands. With our deep expertise across diverse industry segments such as Consumer Electronics, Automotive, Telecom, Semiconductor, Industrial Electronics, and EMS (Electronics Manufacturing Services), PSFSIN empowers OEMs to adopt smarter processes and enhance productivity with autonomous manufacturing solutions.”

Further, Mr. Takahashi Ryotaro, MD of CPBD and Associate Vice President, Panasonic Connect, added, “Globally, Panasonic has been at the forefront of enabling autonomous manufacturing. In India, our focus is on bringing the same technological edge closer to local manufacturers. By introducing software-driven, skill-less automation capabilities, we are enabling manufacturers to thrive in the ever-evolving landscape of smart factories and autonomous production and achieve operational excellence.”

Mr. Osamu Shimada, Deputy Managing Director, Panasonic Smart Factory Solutions India (PSFSIN), PLSIND, shared, “Panasonic has been instrumental in driving innovation and delivering localised solutions for the Indian market. Our next-generation SMT NPM-GH and NPM-GP/L solutions received an overwhelming positive market response. OEMs appreciate the advanced ASF Feeders for their flexibility and reliability, while the machines delivered superior performance, accuracy, and faster ROI through reduced downtime, higher throughput, and lower operating costs. This reinforces our commitment to developing solutions that evolve with customer needs and set new benchmarks in efficiency, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.”

Mr. Vishal Dahiya, Director, Factory Automation System, Panasonic Smart Factory Solutions India (PSFSIN), PLSIND, highlighted, “This year, we are building on the success by showcasing our ecosystem of hardware and software solutions that enable true autonomous manufacturing. From high-speed, high-precision SMT machines to intelligent software platforms like PanaCIM and MirAIe ProFactory, our portfolio is designed to minimise skill dependency, enhance operational consistency, and maximise productivity. By combining automation with real-time data insights, we are empowering manufacturers to achieve faster changeovers, higher throughput, and scalable, future-ready operations.”

PSFSIN features a comprehensive suite of smart factory solutions, including the NPM-GP/L printer, which offers high precision, speed, and cost efficiency with advanced mask positioning, hybrid squeegee movement, and a rapid 12-second cycle time, while the NPM-GH mounter delivers 55,500 CPH at ±25 μm accuracy with dual-lane handling and a wide component range for high-volume production. The versatile NPM-TT2 platform supports high-mix, high-accuracy manufacturing with 18,000 CPH throughput, advanced multi-recognition cameras, and dual-lane operation. Complementing these are Panasonic’s robust Operations & Maintenance services, the PanaCIM suite for real-time traceability and automated changeovers, and the IoT-enabled MirAIe ProFactory platform for predictive analytics and connected shopfloors.
