Oakter Launches 65W True GaN Charger Compatible with Laptops, Phones and More

Oakter announced the launch of its 65W True GaN Charger, a next-generation fast charging solution designed to meet the needs of modern devices. With a launch price of just ₹1,399, the charger comes with a 1.5m USB-C cable included, offering premium value and convenience, and is available on Amazon.

The charger leverages Gallium Nitride (GaN) technology, which allows for high-efficiency, compact, and lightweight design while delivering fast and reliable charge everytime. Unlike bulky adapters it combines USB-C compatibility with a travel-friendly form factor, providing an all-in-one solution for everyday use.

A standout feature of the Oakter charger is its India-specific 3-pin plug, engineered for a secure and stable fit. Unlike most chargers being sold in India that use two-pin plugs and often slip out or fail to engage safety shutters, Oakter GaN charger offers enhanced stability and durability during everyday use, ensuring safe, firm, and reliable charging. Safety considerations extend further with a special capacitor system that reduces the risk of shocks or vibrations often experienced with metal-body devices.

Commenting on the launch, Shishir Gupta, CEO of Oakter, said, “We know that people rely on their devices every day, and charging should never get in the way. The 65W True GaN Charger is designed to keep devices powered safely and reliably, so users can focus on what matters most. We have considered every detail, from the secure fit of the plug to sustained high-speed charging, to ensure a seamless experience at home, at work, or on the go. Our goal with this launch was to make charging effortless for all devices with USB-C port, dependable, and worry-free, and we are confident it will make a real difference for our users.”

Performance is further enhanced through advanced thermal management, ensuring devices charge at full capacity without throttling or overheating. Each unit undergoes automated individual testing and rigorous cycle tests to maintain long-term efficiency and safety.

On a technical side, the Oakter 65W True GaN Charger supports an input voltage of 100–240V, making it compatible with a wide range of power sources. On the output side, it delivers PD 3.0 output of 5V, 9V, 12V, 15V, and 20V, along with PPS output of 3.3–21V/3A, providing consistent and efficient charging across devices. With a maximum wattage of 65W, the charger is capable of fast-charging devices at peak performance. The maximum output current is 3.25A and the maximum output voltage is 20V, ensuring reliable power delivery at all times. Compact and travel-friendly, it measures 7.8 × 4 × 5.6 cm and weighs just 110g, combining robust performance with a sleek, portable design.

With this launch, Oakter has set a new benchmark in premium, reliable, and high-performance charging. This launch marks another step in the company’s journey to redefine what consumers should expect from modern electronics.
