Bangalore – Strangeworks, a leading quantum computing software company with operations in Austin and India, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Tech Mahindra, a leading global provider of technology consulting and digital solutions to enterprises across industries. The MoU outlines a collaboration to deliver quantum and quantum-inspired optimization solutions across key sectors, including finance, pharmaceuticals, supply chain management, logistics, insurance, and energy. This collaboration focuses on solving complex quantum optimization challenges, including scalability that requires significant computing power and a multitude of variables.

Strangeworks will deliver its quantum and quantum-inspired AI platform, which includes backend optimizers and managed cloud access to quantum hardware from leading providers. Tech Mahindra will design and deliver industry-specific solutions across key verticals using the Strangeworks platform, enabling a standardized, scalable, and hardware-agnostic approach. This will empower Tech Mahindra to seamlessly integrate with multiple quantum hardware providers and accelerate the development of enterprise-grade optimization solutions.

Furthermore, Strangeworks will also support Tech Mahindra engineers with specialized technical expertise by training them on quantum and Strangeworks’ software platforms to help gain managed access to multiple quantum compute providers. Tech Mahindra and Strangeworks will closely collaborate to identify mutual customer requirements, ensuring the development and delivery of precisely tailored solutions across various industries.

Nikhil Malhotra, Chief Innovation Officer & Global Head of AI and Emerging Technologies, Tech Mahindra, said, “Enterprises today face increasingly complex optimization challenges across finance, logistics, drug discovery, and energy, far exceeding the limits of conventional compute. As data dimensions surge, the need for advanced, scalable computational models becomes critical. Our collaboration with Strangeworks brings together quantum and quantum-inspired capabilities with Tech Mahindra’s engineering and domain expertise to address these challenges. This partnership will enable our customers to accelerate decision-making, improve efficiency, and adopt future-ready optimization solutions with confidence.”

Tech Mahindra has been actively advancing its quantum research and engineering capabilities through a focused approach on real-world enterprise applications. The organization brings deep domain expertise, strong computational engineering talent, and a commitment to exploring next-generation architectures that enable customers to experiment, validate, and scale quantum-ready solutions. The collaboration further strengthens Tech Mahindra’s vision of helping enterprises unlock the transformative potential of emerging quantum technologies.

Pathy Iyer, Director Sales and Marketing, India, Sri Lanka and Middle East, Strangeworks, said, “We are excited to partner with Tech Mahindra, a well-known leader in IT infrastructure and application development. This collaboration will significantly benefit customers seeking process optimization and looking to implement quantum-based solutions.”

Through this collaboration, Strangeworks and Tech Mahindra are equipping enterprises with the tools to meet the demand for new forms of computational intelligence capable of navigating higher uncertainty, expanding datasets, and real-time decision cycles. The joint effort will enable customers to move beyond incremental improvements toward transformative optimization strategies built for the future.
