Gmunden – RECOM Packs 65W into a Miniature AC/DC Module.

The new cost-effective RACM65S-K/277 AC/DC module from RECOM achieves a class-leading power density of 20W/in³, delivering up to 65W from an encapsulated PCB-mount module measuring just 52.5mm x 40mm x 25mm and featuring industry-standard P12+ pinning. The AC/DC module offers an extended universal input range of 85 – 305VAC and is rated for over-voltage category III (OVC III) up to 3000m altitude, and up to 5000m in its encapsulated variants (OVC II). Efficiency peaks at over 90% and is maintained down to 10% load, while no-load power consumption is typically less than 100mW. Versions with fixed outputs of 5V, 12V, 15V, 24V, 36V, or 52VDC are available, all featuring full short-circuit, over-voltage, and over-current protection.

International safety certifications are available for medical, industrial, and household applications, with operation at ambient temperatures of up to 90°C. The modules comply with EMC standard EN 55032 Class B for floating outputs and, with grounded outputs, by the /OIB and /EIB variants. In medical applications, the parts are rated 2MOPP and are suitable for BF applications.

A version of the RACM65S-K/277 is also available as an open-frame chassis-mount module with an optional cover, measuring 79mm x 40.8mm x 32mm.

“The RACM65S-K/277 series offers an outstanding combination of performance, compact size, and certifications, making it ideal for a wide range of applications,” comments Michael Schrutka, AC/DC product manager at RECOM.

The modules are backed by a three-year warranty. Samples and OEM pricing are available from all authorized distributors or directly from RECOM.
