The active HDMI hybrid fibre optic cable and DisplayPort™ AOC hybrid fibre optic cable from Digitus are the best solutions for transmitting uncompressed video and audio with high bandwidth over longer distances. Thanks to the use of a hybrid structure combining fibre optic and copper cables – all unwanted electromagnetic interference is eliminated, which guarantees transmission with UHD resolution (i.e., 8K, 60Hz) and bandwidths of up to 48 Gb.

Digitus cables, thanks to their length (up to 30m) and lossless signal transmission, are ideal for conference and business rooms, or even cinemas and theatres. The standards supported by each cable are listed in the table below. These are the following standards and functions:

HDCP 1.4 and HDCP 2.2 –is a multimedia signal transmission technology developed by Intel. The method is independent of the interface used and allows data transmission via cables or wireless systems. An additional functionality is the HDCP copy protection option, which prevents high-quality copying.

HDMI 2.1 – the latest HDMI standard supporting, among others, such functions as high resolutions (2K, 4K, and 8K), hardware image compression, and 3D video transmission. Its features also include HDR (displaying a wider range of colours), CEC (feature designed to command and control devices connected through HDMI, which allows to control multiple devices with a single remote control), EDID (the information provided by a monitor (display device) to the video source describing the monitor’s capabilities that automates, among others, correct image formatting and selection of audio channels).

DisplayPort 1.4 – one of the latest one audio/video standards  (released in 2016); supports UHD (8K) resolutions in 30-bit RGB colour output) and bright colours in HDR range, which is particularly important for modern matrices capable of presenting very high contrast images.

All of the above-mentioned products are available in four lengths (10/15/20/30m) and have gold-plated contacts resistant to corrosive factors. The cables support one of the interfaces: HDMI or DisplayPort.
