Gmunden – Wide input 0.5A switching regulators operate to 105°C in tiny SMD package.
RECOM has launched its cost-efficient ROF-78K-0.5 non-isolated switching regulator series, featuring a 4.5 to 36V DC input and fixed output options of 3.3V, 5V, 6.5V, 9V, 12V, 15V, or 24V DC, all rated at 0.5A.
Efficiency peaks at 95% and all parts can operate from -40°C to +95°C without derating, and to 105°C at reduced loads. Outputs are fully regulated and protected against short-circuits, and over-current while the input features an under-voltage lockout. A remote control input is provided.
Package size is just 12.5 x 13.5 x 4.5mm, and termination is pin-less SMD, with corner half-vias allowing optical inspection of the solder joints.
