Reading, UK – Simoco and Antevia Networks, developer of the innovative 5G SHIFT private 5G platform, today announced a new partnership that will integrate rapidly deployable private 5G capability into Simoco’s INEOS Grenadier mission-critical communications platform.
The partnership combines Simoco’s expertise in resilient mission-critical communications with Antevia’s compact, rapidly deployable cellular technology, enabling organisations to establish dedicated high-speed wireless connectivity wherever operations demand. The solution is designed to support public safety, emergency response, defence, disaster recovery, major events, as well as utility, transport, industrial and remote operations.
Antevia’s 5G SHIFT is an end-to-end private 5G solution designed to simplify and accelerate the deployment of secure, high-performance cellular networks. Integrated into Simoco’s mobile communications platform, the technology enables dedicated broadband connectivity to be transported directly to the point of need and rapidly deployed to support teams, applications, sensors, autonomous systems and connected devices.
The collaboration adds deployable private network capability to Simoco’s communications platform, built around the INEOS Grenadier 4×4. The vehicle can establish dedicated high-speed cellular connectivity in locations where existing infrastructure may be unavailable, damaged, congested or unable to meet operational requirements. The approach provides a compact, agile alternative to larger temporary communications deployments, allowing organisations to establish secure cellular coverage across a wide range of indoor and outdoor environments.
The partnership reflects growing demand for resilient communications infrastructure that can be rapidly deployed in temporary, remote and infrastructure-constrained locations. By combining mission-critical radio, broadband applications and private cellular technologies within a single platform, Simoco and Antevia are enabling organisations to maintain communications continuity wherever operations take place.
“Working with Simoco provides an exciting opportunity to demonstrate how private 5G can move beyond traditional fixed deployments and become a genuinely mobile operational capability,” said Simon Cosgrove, CEO of Antevia Networks. “5G SHIFT has been designed to make high-performance private 5G faster and simpler to deploy, indoors and out. By integrating it into Simoco’s Grenadier platform, we can take that capability directly to the point of need, giving users dedicated connectivity in locations where they may not be able to depend on existing public or fixed communications infrastructure.”
“Organisations increasingly need communications capabilities that can be established wherever operations take place, regardless of the availability of existing infrastructure,” said Peter Burridge, Group CEO and Chairman at Simoco. “By integrating Antevia’s 5G SHIFT technology into our Grenadier platform, we’re extending our ability to deliver resilient communications that combine radio, broadband, applications and private cellular connectivity in a single rapidly deployable solution. The addition of private 5G provides another powerful option for customers operating in remote environments, responding to major incidents or supporting critical operations where communications resilience cannot be compromised.”
The platform is designed to complement existing communications systems, enabling organisations to integrate mission-critical radio, broadband services, operational applications and private cellular capability through a single operational platform. Demonstrations of the integrated solution will be available through Simoco and Antevia throughout 2026 and beyond.
