DigiKey is sponsoring the electronica India Tech Challenge 2026, which culminates with the winning team receiving more than ₹5 lakh during electronica India on Sept. 17, 2026.

BENGALURU, India – DigiKey, the global distribution leader of electronic components and automation products, is the presenting sponsor of the electronica India Tech Challenge 2026, a national innovation hackathon that brings together engineers, developers, students and makers to solve real-world electronics challenges.

“DigiKey is committed to supporting the next generation of engineers in India,” said Brooks Vigen, senior director of global strategic marketing at DigiKey. “Engineering and design events, like the electronica India Tech Challenge, help us create opportunities for the next generation of innovators to explore emerging technologies and develop solutions that can have a meaningful impact across industries.”

Tech Challenge participants combine hardware and software expertise across areas including embedded systems, AI and machine learning, robotics and automation, semiconductor applications, smart manufacturing, industrial electronics, edge computing, sustainability and healthcare electronics.

Shortlisted teams received mentorship support and the opportunity to develop and refine working prototypes before presenting their solutions at electronica India. Finalists will be selected based on their working prototypes and will demonstrate their designs at the trade fair on September 17, 2026. The winning team will receive more than ₹5 lakh and national recognition.
