Eicher Trucks & Buses, a business unit of VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd. (VECV), announced its entry into the next phase of its aftermarket evolution with the launch of Eicher Uptime NXT Services, powered by AI-enabled Uptime Centre. This marks a strategic shift to an intelligent, proactive and consolidated service ecosystem designed to maximize fleet productivity and drive business profitability.
Aligned with PM Gati Shakti goals of driving India’s logistics efficiency to world class standards, Eicher’s new Uptime Centre is designed to serve as a central hub that brings together customers, technicians, engineers and technical experts, enabling connected vehicle and service intelligence to translate into faster and more coordinated customer interventions. Services offered include fuel advisory, driver scorecards, vehicle-operation insights, vehicle immobiliser support, and proactive interventions. By harnessing these data-driven capabilities, Eicher empowers fleet operators to optimize fuel efficiency, enhance driver performance and lower operating costs.
Eicher Trucks and Buses pioneered the industry’s first dedicated Uptime Centre in 2019 to provide centralized customer support. Over the years, the company has progressively strengthened its capabilities across vehicle health and diagnostics, network intelligence, service operations, parts availability, and product performance. Together, these pillars have matured into a closed-loop Uptime ecosystem—where real-time vehicle data sharpens service delivery, and service experiences feed directly back into product quality to create greater value for customers. Today, Eicher Maane Uptime is commonly recognized by many transporters across India, acknowledging the efforts by Eicher in this area over the past decades.
B. Srinivas, MD & CEO, VE Commercial Vehicles, said, “For our customers, uptime directly impacts productivity, profitability and business continuity. At Eicher, our vision has therefore been to create an ecosystem that helps keep vehicles operating at their best -everyday. By bringing together connected technology, predictive insights, a responsive service network and strong aftermarket support, we are moving towards a more proactive approach to uptime — one that anticipates customer needs, minimizes disruptions and enables customers to run their businesses with greater confidence and predictability. Our ambition is to make uptime a defining part of the Eicher ownership experience.”
The Uptime ecosystem is further supported by Eicher’s connected customer platform, My Eicher app, brings together live vehicle tracking, fuel management, trip management, fleet performance, predictive uptime, driver safety, service & support services on a single platform. The platform now supports over 200,000 customers and connects more than 460,000 vehicles, enabling Eicher to deliver connected services and insights at scale.
S S Gill, Chief Commercial Officer, VE Commercial Vehicles, said, “The new Uptime Centre brings together the people, technology and intelligence needed to manage uptime more proactively and at scale. The Uptime Control Tower gives our teams greater visibility across vehicle and service operations, while our Gen AI-powered platform bring actionable intelligence closer to our service teams and technicians. This enables faster diagnosis, better coordination and stronger First-Time-Right performance, helping us reduce disruptions and deliver a more seamless service experience for our customers.”
With connected vehicles, predictive analytics, digital customer platforms and AI-enabled service support increasingly converging, Eicher is strengthening Uptime as a core pillar of the business rather than a standalone service intervention. The evolution reflects Eicher’s larger commitment to ensuring that vehicles operate more reliably, workshops respond more effectively and customers achieve stronger business outcomes.
