- Company currently employs 175 people in Gujarat, with expansion expected to create direct and indirect employment opportunities
- ₹100 crore greenfield project in Waghodia, enabling the company to undertake larger and more complex manufacturing programmes alongside its PCBA operations.
- Gujarat to play a key role in supporting Aimtron’s ₹1,000 crore consolidated revenue ambition by FY2029
Vadodara – Aimtron Electronics Limited, an Electronics System Design and Manufacturing (ESDM) and Original Design Manufacturing (ODM) company, expects its total direct workforce in Gujarat to grow from the current 175 employees to approximately 500 at peak capacity over the next three to four years.
The planned scale-up comes as the company strengthens its manufacturing operations in Vadodara to cater to growing opportunities in automotive, industrial electronics and higher-value electronics manufacturing.

As part of its expansion strategy, Aimtron laid the foundation for a ₹100 crore greenfield project in Waghodia, Vadodara, through Aimtron Mechatronics Pvt Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Aimtron Electronics Limited. The project proposes the phased installation of six Surface Mount Technology (SMT) lines and will strengthen the company’s existing capabilities in mechatronics, advanced manufacturing, testing, automation, box-build and system integration. This expansion is expected to enable Aimtron to undertake larger and more complex manufacturing programmes alongside its printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) operations.
Gujarat has been central to Aimtron’s manufacturing journey. The company began its India journey in Gujarat in 2011, commenced production in 2012 and inaugurated its Waghodia GIDC facility in Vadodara in September 2015. Aimtron currently operates five SMT lines in Gujarat and one in Bengaluru. Aimtron International Controls LLC (AIC), based in Decatur, USA, is a step-down subsidiary of Aimtron Electronics Limited and operates four SMT lines. The Gujarat expansion is also expected to create local employment opportunities across manufacturing, engineering, quality, operations and allied functions.
Aimtron Foundation supports community development through corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives, including talent development and skill-building. In Gujarat, its collaboration with Parul University and other university engagement initiatives provide students with opportunities for industrial visits, exposure to electronics manufacturing and practical skill development.
The company sees growing opportunities in automotive and industrial electronics as manufacturers increasingly integrate electronic components into electric vehicles, mobility systems, industrial automation and connected equipment. Aimtron’s existing automotive portfolio includes EV chargers, onboard chargers, battery management systems, battery control units and climate systems. Its industrial applications include monitoring systems, industrial pump controllers, HVAC electronics, fuel-dispenser PCBAs and pressure switches.
Sneh Shah, Whole-Time Director, Aimtron Electronics Limited, said, “Gujarat has been foundational to Aimtron’s manufacturing journey, and we see the state playing an even larger role in our next phase of growth. With our expansion in Vadodara, we are scaling our established end-to-end capabilities to undertake more integrated and complex manufacturing programmes. As we scale operations over the next three to four years, we expect our total direct workforce in Gujarat to reach approximately 500 employees at peak capacity. Alongside employment generation, our focus is on strengthening our engineering, manufacturing and system integration capabilities to serve larger and higher-value customer programmes.”
Aimtron reported consolidated revenue of approximately ₹301 crore in FY2026 and is targeting ₹1,000 crore by FY2029. While this ambition will be supported by its operations across Gujarat, Bengaluru and international markets, Gujarat is expected to serve as a major manufacturing and execution hub for the company’s next phase of growth.
The company also plans to deepen localisation and backward integration by strengthening its mechanical manufacturing and system integration capabilities. These initiatives are expected to improve control over quality, lead times and supply-chain execution, while enabling Aimtron to undertake more complex, end-to-end electronics manufacturing programmes.
