Bengaluru, India – element14 Community, an Avnet community, has launched its 2026 Halloween Hackathon, inviting engineers, makers and electronics enthusiasts worldwide to build and share Halloween-themed electronics projects for the chance to win prizes.

Participants are encouraged to create projects ranging from electronic decorations and interactive costumes to automated trick-or-treater spooking devices and other Halloween-inspired builds. To enter, members must submit a project write-up explaining how their creation works and how it was built.

“The Halloween Hackathon is always one of the most creative events on our calendar,” said Andreea Teodorescu, Global Director of Product Marketing and element14 Community. “It’s exciting to see community members bring their ideas to life, share what they’ve learned and inspire others through their Halloween-themed electronics projects.”

Participants will have the opportunity to win a range of prizes, including a Nintendo Switch Console, Arduino Engineering Kit Rev2, Raspberry Pi CM5 Development Kit, Multicomp Pro test equipment and soldering tools, a Dremel Multi-Tool, and other maker-focused hardware and technologies.

Entries are due on 15 November 2026, with winners announced on 20 November 2026.

Participation is free and open to all members of the element14 Community. For more information and to enter, visit the Halloween Hackathon page.
