R&M is presenting the new CONEXIO portfolio for the FTTA market at the FTTH Conference in Madrid. R&M will also be presenting the fiber-optic HEC quick-mounting connectors for extreme outdoor use. The CONEXIO portfolio consists of cabinets, dividers, cable head terminals, and connectivity technology for Fiber to the Antenna (FTTA), Power to the Antenna (PTTA), and Hybrid to the Antenna (HTTA). «CONEXIO is our complete cabling and connectivity solution for the 5G era,» says Thomas Ritz, R&M Market Manager Public Networks. CONEXIO is designed as a modular system. This makes it possible to cable mobile communications masts up to 30% faster than before. This significantly reduces the costs of connecting 5G cells.
The global market launch of the CONEXIO program will coincide with the FTTH Conference. R&M offers custom-tailored solutions.
Connection and distribution cabinets, cable head terminals, canisters, outdoor connectors, and jumper cables are essential modules of the new CONEXIO line from R&M for the fiber optic connection of 5G antennas.
Outdoor connectors with quick mounting technology
When it comes to HEC outdoor connectors, R&M relies on quick mounting technology with a quarter-turn fastener and quick-release mechanism. They can be coupled blindly and without any special knowledge, which greatly simplifies the connection of fiber optic cables to mobile communication masts. HEC connectors are also suitable for connections in FTTH aerial deployment.
