Witham, Essex, UK: Advanced Rework Technology Ltd (A.R.T.), the leading independent provider of IPC-certified & bespoke training services for the electronics assembly industry, will showcase its extensive offering for electronics training, certification and consultancy on booth #B30 at Southern Manufacturing & Electronics, taking place at Farnborough International Exhibition Centre from 4th to 6th February, 2025.

Southern Manufacturing & Electronics offers forward-thinking businesses in the manufacturing, electronics & industrial sectors three days of innovation, networking opportunities and insight from industry experts. More than 9,000 visitors will connect with over 500 exhibitors to discover new technologies in machinery, production equipment, electronics assembly, tooling and components, plus subcontract services, across a wide range of industry sectors, as well as gain invaluable insights through CPD-accredited technical seminars.

At the trade show, A.R.T. will highlight how the company is helping address the UK’s electronics manufacturing technician skills shortage via its comprehensive range of IPC-accredited and bespoke training courses. A.R.T. will also deliver a seminar in the event’s conference track, as well as sponsor, oversee and help judge the regional UK heat of the 2024 IPC Hand Soldering Championships, taking place during the exhibition.

Commented Debbie McDade, Managing Director at A.R.T.: “Southern Manufacturing & Electronics attracts a broad audience of engineering and electronics professionals, so is an excellent opportunity for A.R.T. to promote best practice for electronics manufacturing. To meet the needs of our expanding industry, A.R.T. has added new capacity by employing more experienced personnel and enlarging our bespoke training facilities at our UK centre.”

John Vickers, Master IPC Trainer at A.R.T. will present a seminar titled, “Standards & Training to Increase Quality”, at 10.40am in the Electronics track of the show’s seminar programme on Wednesday 5th February. The interactive presentation will review the different quality control standards and industry recognised certification programmes currently used within the electronics sector, including those for space and military applications, as well as bespoke classes based around the needs of the customer and/or product and process.

The IPC Hand Soldering Competition offers attendees the challenge of competing against the nation’s top talents for a cash prize and the honour of becoming the 2025 UK Hand-Soldering Champion! No IPC membership or certification required—the competition is open to everyone with the skills and determination to succeed. The winner will receive soldering swag, a cash prize and an all expenses paid trip to productronica 2025 in Munich, Germany to compete against other regional heat champions in the HSC finals – and be recognised as the best solderer in the world!
