Cambridgeshire, UK –  Anglia Components PLC recently announced it is bringing the Anglia Live eCommerce platform to Europe, this follows major investments in its logistics infrastructure and website. It now offers a rapid delivery service for European customers via its UK distribution centre, Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) and shipped by FedEx through its Paris hub, with invoicing available in multiple currencies. Anglia has a record for consistently growing faster than the market, it has achieved this by offering exceptional service along with a broad and deep inventory profile. It aims to replicate this successful model in Europe via its Anglia Live service.

John Bowman, Marketing Director commented, “Anglia are able to offer competitive pricing in local currency coupled with ex-stock availability and fast delivery on a wide portfolio of products covering Semiconductor, Passive and Electromechanical categories. We are confident our Europe-wide digital presence with Anglia Live that offers a competitive service and locally held inventory will appeal to European customers as it has with our existing UK customer base. The decision to expand into Europe was not taken lightly, it was actively encouraged by our major franchises, and we see it as an opportunity we simply cannot refuse.”

He added, “We have invested in inventory to support this European expansion; leveraging unique AI purchasing algorithms that have been developed by our team of in-house software engineers, we aim to have the right inventory in place to support a wider customer base. We want customers throughout Europe to experience the same benefit of working with Anglia as our UK customers have done for over 50 years.”

Anglia have partnered with FedEx to offer a DDP service throughout Europe, this allows them to offer a one to two day delivery service with a significantly lower climate impact versus bringing product in from the North America or Asia. Customers can place orders in Euro or US Dollar currency and orders placed up to 17:00 (CET) Monday to Thursday and 12:30 (CET) on Friday are despatched same day. There is no minimum order value and DDP delivery is free for orders over €50/$60, orders below these values incur a €20/$30 service charge.

Anglia Live customers enjoy real-time and full visibility of available and due in inventory quantities. Other features customers have access to are a comprehensive parametric search engine, industry standard cross-reference database and up to date product change or termination notifications (PCN / PTN). Furthermore, a host of other digital tools to assist purchasing professionals and design engineers are also available on the site such as BOM+ which can fully cost and cross refer a Bill of Materials in under 2 minutes. Products are supplied with full lot traceability back to the original manufacturer’s pack, this is also supported for broken pack quantities such as cut tape and ready reel formats.

Anglia Live serves more than 10K customers, the recently unveiled £2 million expansion of its UK distribution centre will allow it to reach a further 150K customers across Europe. The new facility increases the overall inventory storage space by 40%. Anglia has a strategy to grow organically by 50% in the next five years, excluding of course any acquisitions.
