New Delhi, The Automotive Skills Development Council (ASDC), the Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA Academy), and Prayaas Trust have signed a tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to build a scalable, industry-aligned skill development model for India’s automotive sector.
The collaboration seeks to bridge the skill gap, empower economically marginalized youth, and promote inclusive employment pathways across the country.
Empowering Youth through Skills
Founded in 1998, Prayaas Trust has worked to “eradicate ignorance, create desire, and instill the will to realize one’s dream.” Its flagship Auto Service Technician Training has impacted 1,000+ families in Andhra Pradesh and Bihar, achieving 90% placement rates.
The MoU will expand training from 3 to 20 centers nationwide, targeting 5,000 youth in 3 years, with 30% seats reserved for women.
Strategic Roles
- ASDC will design and continuously upgrade industry-standard training modules, ensuring candidates are skilled in emerging technologies like electric vehicles (EVs) and AI-enabled systems.
- FADA Academy will mobilize its vast dealership network to create structured placement opportunities, internships, and mentorship programs, ensuring job readiness.
- Prayaas Trust will manage grassroots-level candidate identification, training delivery, and post-placement support, while maintaining a zero-cost model for beneficiaries.
Funding and CSR Opportunities
The program will be powered by CSR contributions, industry partnerships, and individual donors. Corporates are invited to co-create impact by supporting skill centers, training materials, and placements.
