Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs along with Arizona Commerce Authority (ACA) President and CEO Sandra Watson and other key members of an Arizona trade delegation are visiting companies in Taiwan to strengthen business relationships.
They aim to deliver the message that Arizona is a great place to invest and do business.
One of their first meetings with Avnet Asia and Japan President Prince Yun and other Avnet executives discussed the mutual benefits of doing business in both Taiwan and Arizona.
Gov. Hobbs believes Arizona offers an unparalleled opportunity for Taiwanese advanced technology companies to expand their global footprint and thrive in Arizona’s business-friendly environment. This was a key sentiment she shared at her meeting with Avnet executives. She invited those companies to join the growing community of industry leaders who have chosen Arizona as their gateway to success. Gov. Hobbs also congratulated Avnet on its 30th anniversary in Taiwan.
Avnet’s Prince Yun couldn’t agree more. He said this was a win-win meeting as he welcomed the governor’s delegation to Taiwan. He said that Avnet, a global technology solution provider and distributor of electronic components headquartered in Arizona, can offer the best supply chain services to Taiwanese companies planning to invest in and establish factories in the United States.
ACA’s Sandra Watson said Arizona is strategically positioned to support the growth of Taiwan’s advanced technology sector while offering long-term stability, economic advantages and access to North American markets.
