PHOENIX – Avnet, Inc. will showcase a cutting-edge demo featuring STMicroelectronics’ STM32MP2-series microprocessor at AWS re:Invent 2024, Dec. 2-6, 2024 in Las Vegas. This demonstration highlights the seamless integration of the STM32MP2 with Amazon Web Services (AWS) IoT, AWS IoT Greengrass and Amazon SageMaker enabled through Avnet’s IoTConnect platform.
The new STM32MP2 series includes four product lines of single and dual-core 64-bit microprocessors designed to facilitate advanced Internet of Things (IoT) and artificial intelligence (AI)/machine learning (ML) applications at the edge. The demo will highlight the MP2’s ability to support AWS IoT Greengrass and Amazon SageMaker, showcasing MP2’s real-time AI/ML performance capabilities.
Key Features of the Demo:
- Seamless Connectivity to AWS: The STM32MP2 connects to AWS via Avnet’s IoTConnect, enabling easy deployment of edge AI and machine learning solutions.
- AI/ML at the Edge: The demo will highlight the STM32MP2’s ability to process AI/ML workloads at the edge, reducing latency and enabling faster decision-making for IoT applications.
“Featuring the STM32MP2 microprocessor in this demonstration, highlights its capabilities in IoT and AI/ML at the edge,” said Jennifer Skinner-Gray, Sr. Director, Supplier Technology Enablement, Avnet. “This collaboration between Avnet and STMicroelectronics exemplifies our commitment to deliver complete solutions that drive innovation for our customers.”
“STMicroelectronics is proud to partner with Avnet in showcasing the STM32MP2 at AWS re:Invent,” said Loris Valenti, Vice President MDRF Product Group Americas at STMicorelectronics. “The STM32MP2’s combination of high performance and scalability, together with Avnet’s end-to-end IoTConnect platform, provides a powerful solution for developers looking to leverage AI and machine learning at the edge.”
The demo will be on display at Avnet’s booth at The Venetian Convention and Expo Center, Booth 668 during AWS re:Invent 2024, offering visitors an in-depth look at the future of edge AI/ML technology and cloud connectivity.
