Bangalore – Hexagon, the global leader in digital reality solutions, combining sensor, software and autonomous technologies, today announced that Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence India Pvt. Ltd. has signed a business partnership with Bangalore-based computational software company Simyog Technology Pvt. Ltd. to bring SimYog’s Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) and Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) simulation to customers in India.
Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) and Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) contribute to a significant percentage of compliance failures for electronic/electrical hardware in the verification stage. This leads to loss of revenue due to a delay in time-to-market or cancelled projects and often increase the Bill-of-Materials (BoM), due to extra components added for a late-stage fix.
SimYog’s flagship product ‘Compliance-scope’ (CompScope) is the world’s first “Virtual EMI/EMC laboratory” for predicting the Radiated Emissions (RE), Conducted Emissions (CE), Radiated Immunity (RI) and Conducted Immunity (CI) compliance tests. Users can predict EMC performance at an early design stage, before a prototype is generated, diagnose and fix the problem in design, therefore save significant time-to-market and bill of materials (BoM) costs. SimYog’s product line-up also includes SEM-Scope, a specialised EMI/EMC simulation tool for integration-level testing, and MAX-Scope, a general-purpose 3D full-wave EM solver. These solutions, combined with Hexagon’s industry-leading technology and support, will empower engineers to optimise their designs and achieve superior performance.
As a partner, Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence will help SimYog expand its footprint in India by leveraging its extensive network of sales and create a marketing ecosystem. This will help our customers be compliant in this critical need and mitigate the risks arising out of EMI/ EMC.
“Ever since its origins from the prestigious IISc, Simyog has built an impressive array of innovative products. The team has made some great strides, backed by investors like Bosch, Mela Ventures, Ideaspring Capital and 1crowd. SimYog products are already in use at several top 10 semiconductor, Tier-1, OEM and Defence companies,” said Sridhar Dharmarajan, Executive Vice President & Managing Director, Hexagon. “That’s why we believe that SimYog is a great partner for us at Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence and we look forward to creating a win-win situation for us and our customers.”
“Hexagon’s reputation for excellence and their industry-leading products align perfectly with our mission to enable agile for hardware design and provide cutting-edge Multiphysics solutions to the electronics and automotive industries,” said Dipanjan Gope, Chief Executive Officer, Simyog. “We are honoured to partner with Hexagon and confident that this partnership will allow us to showcase our offerings to new customers.”
About Simyog Technology Private Limited
Simyog Technology Private Limited SimYog is a startup headquartered in Bangalore, India. Our mission is to enable “Agile for Hardware Design”. Today we are focused on providing EMI/EMC simulation software for front-loading at the early design stage. Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) and Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) contribute to a significant percentage of compliance failures for electronic/electrical hardware in the verification stage. This leads to loss of revenue due to delay in time-to-market or cancelled projects. Simyog’s flagship product ‘Compliance-scope’ (CompScope) is a “Virtual EMI/EMC laboratory” for predicting Radiated Emissions (RE), Conducted Emissions (CE), Radiated Susceptibility (RS), and Conducted Susceptibility (CS) compliance tests. Compliance-Scope enables Design for EMC – predicting EMC issues in the early-design-stage of hardware, as well as Diagnosis capability to reduce risk. Compliance-Scope is in production use at Semiconductor and Systems companies worldwide.
