According to a recent McKinsey report, 12% of new passenger cars sold will be equipped with L3+ autonomous driving technologies by 2030, and that figure will increase to 37% by 2035. As the automotive industry continues to embrace the cutting-edge technology of autonomy, it has become increasingly evident that the journey to fully autonomous vehicles demands a multifaceted approach.
The current Indian ADAS market is expected to grow at a CAGR of 18.8% from 2023 to 2032, reaching a valuation of US$ 9.98 billion by 2032, according to a report by CMI Market Research. This growth is being driven by several factors, including increasing demand for vehicle safety, government initiatives and regulations, increasing disposable income, technological advancements, and partnerships and collaborations. Recognizing this growing demand for ADAS Technology in India, Hexagon joined hands with ESS to foster seamless collaboration within autonomous vehicle development.
Speaking about the partnership, Pratibha Gopalam, Executive Director, ESA Group Companies, said, “Our automotive industry is witnessing a remarkable transformation, and the race toward autonomy is more competitive than ever. Through our partnership, we aim to set new standards, ensuring that we not only meet but exceed the expectations of our customers.”
To further introduce VTD to Indian customers, Hexagon and ESS will be hosting a webinar on December 14, from 3.30 to 4.30 pm IST. During the webinar, Hexagon experts will discuss the benefits of VTD and how it can help automotive manufacturers develop and test ADAS systems.
“ESS’ expertise aligns perfectly with Hexagon’s commitment to innovation and excellence in ADAS and vehicle autonomy. The company’s one-stop solutions will undoubtedly empower us to serve our customers better and drive innovation in this ever-evolving field. With ESS, we are uniquely positioned to connect with customers from the electronics and electrical engineering teams actively involved in ADAS development,” stated Sridhar Dharmarajan, EVP & MD India, Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence.
