Indonesia’s KORIKA Forges a Partnership with Trescon to bring DATE to Jakarta in 2024

Jakarta, Indonesia –Indonesia’s digital landscape is experiencing an extraordinary transformation. With a thriving digital economy projected to reach a staggering US$130 billion by 2025, Indonesia is rapidly establishing itself as a global tech hub.

Indonesia’s Ministry of Communication and Informatics (MCI) has initiated the ‘Roadmap Indonesia Digital 2021-2024’ to bolster the nation’s digital transformation, fostering economic development through innovation and technology One of the needs of the hour is to mobilize communities that will continuously keep Indonesia’s digital aspirations alive and growing.

In a monumental step towards advancing Indonesia’s standing in the global tech and digital arena, KORIKA, the nation’s foremost authority in Artificial Intelligence (AI) research and innovation, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for a Strategic Partnership with Trescon, a leading future tech events organizer, to co-organize DATE (Digital Acceleration & Transformation Expo) in Jakarta in June 2024.

With more than 3,000 senior executives from government bodies, enterprises, tech companies, startups, and discerning global investors, DATE Jakarta will act as a catalyst for progress and a platform where visionary dreams and real-world tech solutions converge.

Prof. Hammam Riza, President of KORIKA, emphasized, “This partnership signifies more than a mere MoU; it represents a resolute dedication to redefine Indonesia’s technological landscape. Through our alliance with Trescon for DATE Jakarta 2024, we are forging an incomparable stage for innovation, collaboration, and advancement. Our pentahelix stakeholders will assume a central role in ensuring the monumental success of this event, leveraging it as a cornerstone among the many catalysts driving our national digitalization objectives.”

The signing of the MoU at the World Cloud Show underscores the unified vision for advancing digital transformation in the nation. This partnership and the event is aligned with Indonesia’s bold 2045 Artificial Intelligence National Strategy (Stranas AI), which seeks to leverage innovation and technology for diversified goals.

Mr. Naveen Bharadwaj, Group CEO of Trescon, stated, “Our partnership with KORIKA will help make DATE Jakarta Indonesia’s most influential B2B tech expo, where collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and community building among stakeholders in the region’s innovation ecosystem take centre stage.”

Nirmala Sitharaman, Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology Shri Rajeev Chandrasekhar and 100+ global speakers, 3,000 attendees, and more than 100 exhibitors.
