New SPSCAP supercapacitors
Share on FacebookShare on TwitterShare on LinkedIn

The demand for supercapacitors has been increasing in recent years. They are used, among others, in the automotive industry and IoT devices – they are used in energy recovery circuits and backup circuits where the use of standard batteries is not recommended. In TME catalogue you can find more and more supercapacitors (ultracapacitors) – 15 new products from SPSCAP have just been added to our offer. It is a highly specialised brand producing components for, e.g.,  transport and renewable energy sectors

The presented products are available as standard, cylindrical capacitors with radial or axial (threaded) leads, but also as modules designed for higher voltages. Cylindrical supercapacitors can operate at voltages from 2.7 V to 3 V. The modules have an operating voltage of up to 16 V.

Capacities from 1 F to 1500 F

3000 F capacity

SPSCAP products feature a wide range of available capacities: from 1 F to 3000 F. They are perfect for applications requiring a fast, high-power flow, because these components tolerate pulse currents from 0.83 A to 2368 A (with low ESR). The application areas of these products include electric/hybrid vehicles (EV/HEV), railway (e.g., locomotive engine starters), and heavy machinery.

Electrical double-layer capacitors with a capacitance tolerance of 20%. Their operating temperature ranges from -40°C to 65°C.
