Gmunden – The RECOM RACM30-K series expands for wider application. The popular RECOM RACM30-K series of cost-effective AC/DC converters is now available with 36V, 48V, and 54VDC outputs for a wider variety of applications. This is in addition to the 5V, 12V, 15V, 24V, +/12V and +/-15V outputs in the existing range. The new parts maintain their UL 60601-1 BF medical certifications for outputs greater than 24VDC, suitable for home healthcare use, and PoE+ applications are now also supported, with the 54VDC output suitable for power injection with high isolation to ground.

The RACM30-K series features an ultra-wide input range of 88V-305VAC and is available in wired, open frame or encapsulated PCB, and chassis mount formats with industry-standard pin-outs. A DIN-rail fixing option is also supported with push-in wire terminals. Additionally, a fully encapsulated version in an IP65 housing, just 59mm diameter, with flying wires fits into flush-mount wall boxes. The footprint for enclosed parts is just 1.5” x 2” for a full 30W rating from -40°C to +60°C ambient and to 90°C with derating.

The parts are rated OVCIII up to 5000m altitude with outputs categorized as ‘Limited Power Source’.

EMC standard EN 55022 curve ‘B’ is met with good margin, with floating or grounded outputs in a PELV configuration. As well as medical, safety certifications are held for IT/multimedia, test and measurement, household, and industrial applications with testing performed up to 90°C with derating.

“These new variants of our RACM-30 series address a wider range of applications while keeping the same high performance and robust designs” comments Michael Schrutka, MSc. AC/DC product manager of RECOM.

Parts include a three-year warranty. Samples and OEM pricing are available from all authorized distributors or directly from RECOM.
