New generation of the inteliPhy Analyzer with web-based software, Unix system, API and redundant power supply. Sensors for the distribution platform Netscale 48.
R&M, the globally active Swiss developer and provider of high-end infrastructure solutions for data and communications networks, is expanding its solutions for monitoring networks. They are part of the inteliPhy program for Automated Infrastructure Management (AIM) in data centers and local data networks. Users can thus further expand real-time network monitoring and simplify the work of the technicians at the rack.
New to the range: an inteliPhy Sensorbar for the recently launched distribution platform Netscale 48. It monitors the ports of the mixed media patch panel using RFID sensors and visualizes the status of the plug connections via LED. At the same time, R&M is launching the second generation of the inteliPhy Monitoring Analyzer.
Monitoring networks remotely
The Analyzer controls and monitors up to 42 Sensorbars in a rack via bus lines. It communicates with the central infrastructure management system inteliPhy net via the local data network. This allows the links in large networks to be monitored remotely in real-time.
The browser-based software of the new inteliPhy Analyzer clearly displays the integrated Sensorbars. In the central DCIM software (Data Center Infrastructure Management) inteliPhy net, technicians can see at a glance whether all cables are connected to the correct port without interruption. Service and patch orders can be clearly assigned, both in the software and on the Analyzer display. Eight LEDs signal the defined statuses and power lines. A keypad is used to control the Analyzer locally. A bus coupling on the rear enables the connection of sensors and other devices. R&M supplies the inteliPhy Analyzer with two jacks for a redundant power supply. This increases the operational reliability of data network monitoring in critical application areas such as healthcare, power supply, and the finance market.
Analyzer with software options
R&M equips the second-generation inteliPhy Analyzer with a Unix system and software options. Integrated firmware can be easily updated using a USB stick. A REST API and the MQTT protocol are used to support data exchange with external applications, such as the DCIM software inteliPhy net.
The inteliPhy developments follow the R&M concept of integrated infrastructure solutions for data centers. They can be integrated into racks and rack rows as needed and also into DCIM systems from other manufacturers.
The new inteliPhy Analyzer from R&M for network monitoring in racks offers, among other things, a software interface for exchanging data with external applications. It is equipped with redundant power connections to increase the operational reliability of network monitoring.
