Fairport, NY: Saelig Company, Inc. has announced three new series of 12-bit Siglent HD Oscilloscopes designed to improve signal fidelity, visualization, and analysis, adding to the previously announced SDS2000X-HD 12-bit oscilloscopes. The new SDS800X-HD, SDS1000X-HD, and SDS3000X-HD scopes are equipped with very low noise front-ends and advanced 12-bit analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) to yield precision signal measurements. The Siglent HD series are next-generation oscilloscopes offering 16 times the signal resolution of traditional 8-bit oscilloscopes. These HD scopes all display signals in finer detail, make more precise measurements, have higher voltage offsets, and better accuracy than ordinary oscilloscopes.

  • SDS800X-HD:  70 – 200MHz, 2/4-ch, 2GSa/s, 50/100Mpts, MSO option, 7” touchscreen, starting at $339
  • SDS1000X-HD: 100 -200MHz, 2/4-ch, 2GSa/s, 100Mpts, MSO option, 10.1” touchscreen, starting at $999
  • SDS3000X-HD: 350MHz – 1GHz, 4-ch, 4GSa/s, 400Mpts, MSO option, 10.1” touchscreen, starting at $3690

The SDS800X HD and SDS1000X HD are all typically specified at just 70uVrms noise at 200MHz bandwidth. The lowest ranges are specified at 1.5% DC gain accuracy, while the ranges ≥5 mV/div have a 0.5% accuracy. The SDS3000X HD series provides up to 60 dB of channel-to-channel isolation.

Siglent’s HD oscilloscopes feature simultaneous zooming for both the horizontal and vertical directions on active signals. This, coupled with the advantage of large memory depth, facilitates in-depth analysis, and can reveal insights that are typically hidden, such as when using “voltage offset before A/D” capabilities to discover small signal anomalies far above ground, focusing the ADC just on small variations of interest. When visualizing signals in the RF space, the ability to calculate deep memory FFTs with low noise, 12-bit data provides additional capabilities for debugging and analyzing high speed signals. And on the SDS3000X HD range the equivalent of up to 4 additional bits of resolution are available in an extended high-resolution mode (ERES) to provide even further noise reduction and flexibility. Utilizing the high sample rate and deep memory, this mode further improves noise performance at reduced bandwidth to optimize the oscilloscope’s performance for each application.

All HD models are equipped to measure more than 50 parameters, support simultaneous mathematical operations across all channels, and feature a formula editor for enabling nested formulas. Additionally, all three HD oscilloscope series support features like Mask Test, Bode Plot, Power Analysis, Search, and Serial Decode. Optionally, 16 digital channels can be added to enable simultaneous analysis of mixed signal designs. Together with Siglent’s isolated signal generator SAG1021I or any Siglent arbitrary waveform generator, loop response tests can be carried out to provide the frequency response (gain and phase) of a device under test. The three new HD oscilloscope ranges all have high-definition touch screens (7” or 10.1”), advanced web control, and network drive data capabilities. The combination of an intuitive user interface with multiple one-button operations on the front panel and seamless remote access greatly improves the operating efficiency in any use mode.

With bandwidths ranging from 70 MHz to 4 GHz, 12-bit Siglent HD Oscilloscopes provide outstanding signal fidelity measurements for a wide range of applications including power, EMI, frequency analysis, embedded design, and failure analysis. They are available now from Saelig Co. Inc. For detailed specifications, free technical assistance, or more information, please contact Saelig at 1-888-7SAELIG,
