Relays are among the most important elements of any control system, as well as power supply. Through relays, connections are made to protect control systems from high current, as well as to ensure the safety of users of electrical devices. The ongoing electrification of transport has prompted manufacturers to develop a new category of products known as HVDC relays (from English High-Voltage Direct Current). The use of such components in chargers and batteries enables the interruption of the arc resulting from the disconnection of high-voltage direct current, which is one of the main problems in energy bank charging applications.

The company entering the European market, Sanyou, offers a range of solutions from the assortment of electromagnetic relays. In their rich offer, you can find standard solutions for signal relays, as well as the innovative aforementioned products with HVDC characteristics. The SEL series is a response to the ever-growing needs of the automotive industry, providing an excellent solution for ensuring safety and energy management in the EV industry, that is, the electric vehicle sector.

SEL relays are elements adapted for mounting on the panel or housing of the device (using M5 screws). Their main feature is the ability to switch and disconnect high voltage (500V DC, 800V DC) at current intensity (depending on the model): 100A, 200A, 250A, and even 300A. Another advantage of the products is the wide range of operating temperatures (from -40°C to 80°C), which means they can be used in unfavorable temperature conditions (devices placed outside buildings, such as EV charging stations). Due to the product specification, it is only available in SPST-NO contact configuration.
