Swedish start-up Emendion is setting a new standard for modern audio recording with its newly launched microphone – Aspen.
– We are delighted that we have now reached the day when we can launch a Swedish-made microphone that gives the user superior sound quality while being the size of a postage stamp. It’s a lot of sound in a small package, says Nils Östlund, co-founder of Emendion.
In addition to the Aspen’s sleek design, its smart multi-microphone solution provides superior sound quality with extremely low noise. In addition, it supports the latest Bluetooth Low Energy Audio standard – enabling, among other things, Auracast broadcasting to an unlimited number of devices simultaneously.
– Our goal has been to create a wireless and flexible microphone with the best sound on the market. The microphone is attached to your clothes with a small clip and is suitable for both those who use a microphone daily as lecturers, journalists, musicians, podcasters or if you only use a microphone on an occasional basis, says Nils.
Locally manufactured microphone
– It’s important to us that Aspen is produced locally – and it’s great that all the external expertise we need from design to manufacturing is available locally here in Umeå, Västerbotten, Sweden.
