Gmunden – RECOM adds high power density DC/DCs to their portfolio. Space-constrained product designs can benefit from a new range of isolated through-hole DC/DCs from RECOM, rated 10W, 20W, or 30W output in industry-standard 1” x 1” packages, just 0.4” high. These cost-effective parts feature wide input ranges and high efficiency, for reliable operation at high ambient temperatures.

The REC10K and REC20K series rated 10W and 20W respectively are available with 4:1, 9-36V or 18-75VDC inputs and fixed 3.3V, 5V, 9V, 12V, 15V, 24V, +/-5V, +/-12V, +/-15V, and +/-24V (REC10K only) DC outputs. The 30W-rated REC30K series has the same input and output voltage ratings but with an additional 2:1, 36V to 75V input range at higher efficiency. The REC10K parts can operate in ambient temperatures down to -40°C and up to 100°C with derating, while the REC20K and REC30K parts operate to 105°C ambient with derating.

All variants feature tight line and load regulation, low ripple and noise, and a +/-10% trim range for single outputs. Full protection is provided against input under-voltage, output over current, over-voltage, and short circuits. An on/off control is also offered to shut down the DC/DCs with low current draw, for energy-sensitive applications.

Isolation is ‘functional’ grade according to IEC/EN/UL62368-1, 1600VDC/1 min for the REC10K variants and 2kVDC/1 min for the REC20/30K variants. Conducted ‘Class A and B’ EMI standards can be met with external filters specified in the data sheets.

Matthew Dauterive, MSc. DC/DC product manager of RECOM comments “Our advanced design and packaging techniques in these new DC/DCs result in a great combination of power density, performance, and price, ideal for space- and cost-sensitive applications where quality cannot be compromised”.

Parts include a three-year warranty. Samples and OEM pricing are available from all authorized distributors or directly from RECOM.
