The first cohort, held earlier this year, featured a senior Indian government official, corporate leaders from Havells India and FarMart, a climate expert from the Shiv Nadar Foundation, and professionals from the not-for-profit sector. International climate leaders include the leaders of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week, Trivandi, Many are already spearheading impactful, cross-sector climate initiatives.
Building on this momentum, SLP has now opened admissions for its Winter 2025 cohort, which is set to welcome a new generation of climate-focused leaders ready to scale their impact. This five-month intensive program is designed for senior professionals, Chief Sustainability Officers, aspiring C-suite leaders, and purpose-driven changemakers who are shaping sustainability agendas within their organisations.
The curriculum offers a rigorous blend of technical training in climate science, carbon management, industrial decarbonisation, and international climate policy, alongside immersive leadership development. Participants also benefit from personalised mentorship and one-on-one leadership coaching to advance real-world climate initiatives in their industries and communities.
A major highlight of the program is the Climate Leaders Retreat in Dubai from October 10–15, 2025, which focuses on systems thinking, leadership and technical training.
The program’s global faculty includes renowned experts such as Dr. Lee Howell (Executive Director, Villars Institute; Former Managing Director, World Economic Forum), Lise Anna Bruynooghe (Founder, School of Change; former EBRD executive) as well as senior mentors who have worked at institutions like the World Bank, UNEP, and Jindal Steel & Power. The program’s partners include Fusion Minds AI, UAE, and The Villars Institute, Switzerland.
Commenting on the new cohort, Dr. Miniya Chatterji, CEO of Sustain Labs Paris, said, “We founded the Climate Leadership Certificate programme to support those incredibly talented and mission driven leaders in our sector who had faced the brunt of programme closures and backlash from the geo-political turn of events early this year. What we found was that our 20 seats in the cohort was not enough for the interest and love we received from applicants, partners, and industry. This is why, two weeks into the first cohort we launched the Winter cohort to offer a chance to more number of meritorious leaders and aspiring leaders in the field of climate and sustainable growth to learn with their tribe, collaborate, and build climate action.”
Applications for the Winter 2025 Climate Leadership Certificate are now open, with early-bird submissions closing on July 31st 2025. The program runs from October 2025 to February 2026.
