VADODARA, GUJARAT – Aimtron Electronics Limited, an Electronics System Design and Manufacturing (ESDM) company, today announced that it has secured a pilot Box-Build manufacturing order from a leading global semiconductor test solutions company. The engagement carries an estimated business potential of US$2.6 million to US$3.4 million, representing a significant opportunity to expand the company’s presence in high-value electronics manufacturing. The project is expected to generate employment opportunities in Vadodara, further strengthening the city’s position as a growing hub for advanced electronics manufacturing. The announcement comes at a time when the global electronics industry is projected to surpass US$1.8 trillion by 2032.

The pilot order is for the manufacture of a next-generation intelligent fibre network test and certification platform. The scope includes electronics assembly, mechanical integration, system-level testing, and final product integration. The engagement forms part of the customer’s broader strategy to diversify its manufacturing footprint, strengthen supply chain resilience, and evaluate qualified manufacturing partners beyond its traditional production locations.
The order reflects the increasing role of Indian manufacturers in delivering integrated electronics systems beyond conventional Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA). It also demonstrates the capability of domestic ESDM companies to undertake complex Box-Build manufacturing that requires stringent quality systems, component traceability, and system-level integration.

Aimtron’s selection for the pilot program highlights its engineering capabilities and manufacturing processes for serving technology-intensive global industries.
“Global customers are increasingly looking to diversify their manufacturing partnerships, and India is well positioned to support this transition,” said Nirmal Vasani, Global Chief Operating Officer, Aimtron Electronics Limited. “This pilot engagement reflects confidence in our manufacturing capabilities, quality systems, and engineering expertise. Successful execution of the program will position us for potential long-term commercial production opportunities with the customer while further strengthening our presence in the global electronics manufacturing ecosystem.”The objective of the pilot program is to qualify Aimtron’s manufacturing processes and quality systems for the customer’s new product platform. Upon successful completion and validation, the company expects to be considered for larger commercial production opportunities. As demand for advanced electronics manufacturing continues to grow, Aimtron is expanding its manufacturing capabilities across Vadodara and Bengaluru to support customers requiring high-reliability, value-added manufacturing solutions.
