The versatile components are designed to provide reliable signal and data connectivity in harsh and demanding environments like industrial equipment, land defense, aeronautics, radio systems, tactical equipment, ruggedized PCs and displays, communications, security, intercom as well as encrypted data systems.
CMA series connectors benefit from a robust stainless-steel shell with a push-pull locking system for fast, secure connection and disconnection. Break-away configurations are also available where rapid separation is required. For applications where electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) is critical, the connectors incorporate a 360° grounding ring designed to enhance continuity between the connector shells and ground. This provides a high level of EMC protection and helps support reliable signal and data transfer in electromagnetically challenging environments.
CMA series devices are rated IP68 both mated and unmated, providing protection against dust and water ingress. Available with between four and 22 contacts, the connectors can operate across a temperature range of -55°C up to +125°C, making them suitable for equipment exposed to severe environmental conditions.
BERNIER also offers flexibility to adapt CMA connectors to customer requirements, with reinforcements available for applications involving particularly demanding climatic, ergonomic or electromagnetic conditions. This adaptability allows the connectors to be configured for the specific requirements of rugged electronic equipment and systems.
