CHENNAI – Emerson successfully concluded its System Design Contest 2025 at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM) Research Park in Chennai. Nearly 400 students from leading Indian universities took part, learning to design and build complete test systems using NI LabVIEWTM and NI LabVIEW+.
Through this hands-on learning program, students designed and implemented real-world projects across emerging technology domains, applying their learning to solve complex system challenges. Supported by Emerson’s NI-certified training partner VVDN Technologies, the program also included mentoring sessions and project evaluations by experts from Emerson and VVDN.
“This contest reflects Emerson’s continued investment in India’s engineering talent and our shared goal of advancing test and measurement innovation,” said Baskar Ceri, managing director India of Emerson’s test and measurement business. “By equipping young engineers with practical, industry-relevant skills, we are helping them prepare for careers in connected, AI-driven test systems and contributing to India’s vision of Skill India and Make in India.”

The top three winning teams received cash prizes totaling INR 3 lakh along with certificates and trophies recognizing their outstanding achievements.
The System Design Contest 2025 reinforces Emerson’s ongoing commitment to skill development, certification and innovation within India’s rapidly growing engineering and technology ecosystem.
