Recently, the “Federation of Thai Industries (FTI)” issued an official reply confirming its role as a supporting organization for the “2026 Intelligent Manufacturing Exhibition Southeast Asia (Thailand) (IME 2026)”. This partnership is set to further facilitate deeper and broader pragmatic cooperation between Chinese and Thai industrial enterprises in areas such as technical exchange, market expansion, industrial synergy, and supply chain collaboration.

In March 2026, to accelerate the local preparations for IME 2026 and further enhance industrial exchange between China and Thailand, the IME project team from “Shanghai Industry & Commerce Exhibition Co., Ltd. (a subsidiary of Donghao Lansheng Events Group)” traveled to Thailand. The team held a specialized meeting with the FTI focused on key objectives, including collaborative exhibition promotion, industrial resource matching, professional visitor organization, and bilateral cooperation.

Building upon previous communications, both parties reached a series of cooperative consensuses. This progress lays a solid foundation for IME 2026 to take root in the Thai market and serve Chinese and Thai enterprises in their efforts to expand across the ASEAN region.

The “Federation of Thai Industries (FTI)” is a highly influential national organization within Thailand’s industrial sector and serves as a vital communication bridge between Thai industrial enterprises, the government, and international markets. The FTI has long been involved in industrial policy communication, industrial development discussions, and the promotion of international economic and trade cooperation, playing a pivotal role in Thailand’s industrial modernization and manufacturing upgrades.

The FTI consists of “48 Industry Clubs” and is extensively connected across Thailand’s pillar industries—such as automotive, electronics, machinery, chemicals, and food—through “76 Provincial Chapters” and five major regional networks.

Within this framework, the “FTI Machinery and Automation System Industry Club” focuses on niche sectors including mechanical equipment, production technology, and automation systems. It continuously drives the technological upgrading and intelligent transformation of Thailand’s manufacturing sector. By leveraging its resources of member companies and industrial service providers, the Club actively builds platforms for technical exchange, supply-demand matching, government-enterprise synergy, and talent cultivation. It provides precise solutions to meet the practical needs of Thai manufacturers in areas such as “automation retrofitting, production line upgrades, efficiency optimization, and intelligent development.”

With FTI officially confirming its support for IME 2026, it will provide strong backing for the exhibition in terms of local promotion in Thailand, industrial resource connection, professional visitor organization and buyer matchmaking. Leveraging FTI’s local resource advantages, IME 2026 will further connect core Thai purchasers, high-quality member enterprises, industry associations and key industrial parks, offering more precise and efficient docking channels for Chinese intelligent manufacturing enterprises to explore the Thai and ASEAN markets.

Meanwhile, IME 2026 will also help Thai manufacturers better understand and introduce advanced manufacturing technologies, intelligent equipment and digital solutions, accelerating the digital and intelligent transformation of the manufacturing industry in Thailand and ASEAN. Via the exhibition platform, China and Thailand will forge closer industrial interaction in fields including intelligent manufacturing, industrial automation, robots, CNC machine tools, electronic manufacturing, new energy and advanced equipment.
