GAIA Converter Announce the GRD-50A-M Series: 500 Watts Integrated Power Supplies for High-Reliability Applications

Le Haillan, France – GAIA Converter is proud to announce the launch of the GRD-50A-M Series, a new family of 500 Watts integrated power supplies designed to meet the stringent requirements of military and aerospace applications.

Engineered to comply with COTS standards, the GRD-50A-M series combines multiple functions into a compact and rugged module, simplifying power architecture design while delivering exceptional performance and reliability.

A New Standard in Rugged Power Conversion

Key features and benefits include:

  • Compliance with military standards: MIL-STD-1275, MIL-STD-704 & MIL-STD-461
  • High output power: up to 500W, available in 12V, 15V, 24V, 28V, or 48V
  • Robust protection: overload, reverse polarity, transient up to 100 Vdc
  • High efficiency (up to 89%) with protections for short circuit (hiccup mode), overvoltage, and overtemperature
  • Compact form factor: 10″ x 2.75″ x 0.9″ (255 x 70 x 24.25 mm)
  • Extended operating temperature range: -40 °C to +85 °C baseplate and -40 °C to +105 °C converter case

Engineered for deployment across land, sea, and air platforms, the GRD-50A-M is ideally suited for:

With 1500 Vdc primary-to-secondary isolation, 500 Vdc chassis isolation, and multiple configuration options (/B board only, /V coated, /P parallel), the series offers unmatched flexibility for system designers working on demanding defense and aerospace programs.
