National – As enterprises move AI from experimentation into increasingly critical business operations, the need for stronger governance, resilience and accountability is becoming central to how intelligent systems are designed and deployed. GFF AI, a Singapore-headquartered Enterprise Intelligence Engineering company, has appointed Meenakshi Arekar as Chief Risk Officer (CRO), strengthening its leadership focus on enterprise AI governance, risk management and responsible AI adoption.
Meenakshi Arekar brings over 20 years of experience across technology, cybersecurity, risk and resilience, with leadership experience at TCS, FIS and Wipro. During her tenure with TCS in Sydney, she led a cross-functional risk and resilience agenda within the Capital Markets organisation, strengthening business continuity and disaster recovery capabilities, risk governance and resilience testing, contributing to an 80% reduction in operational disruptions over five years. Across her roles at FIS and Wipro, she has worked at the intersection of technology, business and risk, building governance frameworks, improving risk visibility and supporting technology-enabled transformation.
At GFF AI, Meenakshi will lead the company’s risk and governance agenda spanning AI governance, information protection, technology and third-party risk, resilience and production readiness, while strengthening its presence in Australia through client relationships, market development and local partnerships across financial services and insurance, mining and resources, and higher education. Her appointment reinforces GFF AI’s approach to enterprise intelligence engineering, where governance and risk are embedded into how enterprise intelligence is designed and scaled, ensuring that as AI becomes more autonomous and integral to business operations, oversight, accountability and resilience remain central to responsible adoption.
Commenting on the appointment, Dr. Ashish Chandra, Founder & CEO, GFF AI, said, “As AI moves deeper into enterprise operations, governance and resilience can no longer sit outside the architecture of intelligence. They need to be engineered into how intelligent systems are designed, deployed and scaled. Meenakshi brings deep experience across technology, cybersecurity, risk and resilience, which will strengthen our ability to build enterprise intelligence with the right foundations of accountability and trust. Her leadership will also be important as we expand our presence in Australia and engage with enterprises navigating the opportunities and responsibilities of AI adoption at scale.”
Speaking on her appointment, Meenakshi Arekar, Chief Risk Officer, GFF AI, said, “AI is moving rapidly from experimentation into business decisions and operational environments where the consequences of failure can be significant. This makes governance, resilience and accountability fundamental to responsible enterprise AI adoption. I am excited to join GFF AI at a stage where these principles are being considered as part of the engineering of enterprise intelligence itself. My focus will be on strengthening the company’s risk and governance framework while supporting its growth in Australia, ensuring that innovation and enterprise scale are matched by the right level of oversight, resilience and accountability.”
The appointment comes as GFF AI continues to develop its integrated Enterprise Intelligence Engineering model spanning Enterprise Intelligence Platforms, Agentic AI Systems, Sovereign AI Infrastructure, and Responsible AI & Governance. The company is focused on helping organisations transition from digital enterprises to AI native enterprises by embedding intelligence into the core of business operations while ensuring that security, governance, resilience and economic sustainability remain integral to that transformation.
