As France’s largest industrial event, Global Industrie brings together the people, companies and solutions driving the transformation of industry. Through dedicated themed areas, expert insights and a programme of key events, the event provides visitors with practical, accessible solutions they can put into action.
In 2027, Global Industrie will explore key topics including European sovereignty, dual-use industry and nuclear energy, while introducing several new areas: the Arena, located in a new hall, the Booster, Industrial Futures and the Innovation Gallery.
Taking over the whole of Eurexpo Lyon, this ninth edition promises to be one of the event’s most ambitious yet, with more than 2,700 exhibitors and 65,000 visitors expected from 15 to 18 March 2027.
THE FUTURE OF INDUSTRY TAKES SHAPE AT GLOBAL INDUSTRIE
Since its launch in 2018, Global Industrie has brought together the entire industrial ecosystem around a shared ambition: to raise the profile of an innovative, responsible and highly competitive industry.
Companies, solution providers, start-ups, engineers, buyers, decision-makers, students and future talent come together to discover the technologies, expertise and careers shaping industry today and preparing it for tomorrow.
As France enters its presidential election campaign, Global Industrie will once again give industry a voice, showcasing a sector that continues to move forward despite economic and geopolitical uncertainty. Beyond national issues, the event will explore European cooperation and sovereignty, and the role industry can play in strengthening both.
INNOVATION AT THE HEART OF INDUSTRIAL SOVEREIGNTY
Over four days, Global Industrie will showcase the entire industrial value chain across 15 sectors, from robotics and additive manufacturing to electronics, mechatronics, materials, energy and the production environment. With more than 3,000 machines in operation, the exhibition will showcase the latest developments across industry and help visitors identify solutions to the challenges they face.
Alongside the two new areas joining the Lyon edition, the Booster and Industrial Futures, Global Industrie will place a particular focus on dual-use innovation and the nuclear sector.
THE BOOSTER
Designed for businesses of all sizes, from start-ups to major groups, the Booster will help businesses find future partners at the exhibition through tailored visitor journeys and targeted introductions between suppliers and industrial buyers.
It will focus on four key areas: finance and investment; international development and export; skills and training; and consultancy and business support. The programme will also feature major companies outlining their future innovation needs, tailored journeys for visitors looking to develop their business, and three dedicated pitch areas designed to encourage dialogue between manufacturers, experts and solution providers.
INDUSTRIAL FUTURES
Global Industrie is taking its Smart sector to the next level with the launch of Industrial Futures, creating a bridge between technology and industry.
The new area will bring together start-ups, scale-ups, laboratories, investors, researchers and major companies to share their perspectives and work together to develop the solutions of tomorrow.
Industrial Futures will showcase the latest developments and innovations in artificial intelligence and industrial software, Industrial IoT and autonomous machines, sustainable industry and decarbonisation, research and deep tech.
The programme will feature technology demonstrations and real-world use cases, conferences, collaborative workshops, first-hand insights from manufacturers, and opportunities for innovators, investors and industrial decision-makers to connect.
The area has been co-designed with Christophe Victor, co- founder of VivaTech and founder of Tech&Fest.
The 2027 edition will also mark the return of the International Metrology Congress (CIM). Co-organised by the CFM – Collège Français de Métrologie, the congress is expected to bring together 600 measurement experts and professionals from 45 countries to discuss the sector’s current and future challenges.
Complementing the CIM, the Metrology Village, located at the heart of the exhibition’s Measurement, Control, Vision & Instrumentation area, will bring together specialists in high-performance, high-precision measurement, showcasing solutions dedicated to industrial measurement. It will also feature presentations, dedicated metrology pitches and talks from the CFM.

A NEW AREA DEDICATED TO CAREERS IN INDUSTRY
As well as being a place to do business, Global Industrie also plays an educational role, giving young people, from primary school through to university, the opportunity to discover, experience and engage with the world of industry.
Hall 7 will be home to the Arena, where 8,000 young people and jobseekers are expected to discover the opportunities available across the sector. The area will host GI Avenir, Global Industrie’s initiative dedicated to promoting careers in industry, training and employment.
Alongside it, the sixth edition of Golden Tech, the industrial excellence competition, will take place for the first time in partnership with WorldSkills France. Visitors will be able to experience the competition live, as around 100 competitors put their skills to the test across 15 industrial professions.
HEARING FROM THOSE SHAPING INDUSTRY
Chaired by Nicolas Dufourcq, CEO of Bpifrance, Global Industrie also brings together business leaders, political figures, including some presidential candidates, economists, institutional representatives and entrepreneurs to share their perspectives on industry and the major transformations ahead. More than 750 speakers are expected to take part across « La Grande Scène » and the various pitch areas.
