The highly robust, low-force 15-pin connector pair (4000106C lower separation connector and 4000107C upper separation connector) from Planetary Systems Corporation has been designed to provide reliable electrical signal transfer in demanding in-flight and ground-test applications. It can be sourced through Powell Electronics, the supplier of connectors and more for high-rel applications including defence, aerospace and industrial. Engineered to minimize in-flight rotation, the connector pair enables seamless integration with Lightband configurations in both stowed and deployed positions.

The connectors use spring pins to complete the electrical connection and feature a negative insertion force. Meeting NASA Technology Readiness Level 9 (TRL-9) requirements, their rugged, compact, low-mass construction makes the devices well suited for demanding spaceflight conditions where space, weight and interface performance are critical.

Additional features of the connector pair include an EMI gasket, superior resistance to vibration and debris as well as a keyed interface to help ensure correct alignment during mating. The included attachment hardware simplifies installation and integration.

For more information about the 4000106C lower separation connector and 4000107C upper separation connector pair from Planetary Systems Corporation please click here. For a datasheet please click here.
