KITCHENER, ON – Miovision, the global leader in Intelligent Mobility solutions, is showcasing the future of connected transportation at the 2026 ITS America Conference & Expo, bringing live AI demonstrations and V2X technology at Huntington Place in Detroit, Michigan. Miovision’s CEO and the team’s presence will span the exhibition floor at booth #3009, the main stage throughout the conference, and the streets of Detroit from June 10 through 12.
Taking the technology beyond the exhibition floor and onto Detroit’s streets, Miovision’s Connected Vehicle Demonstration will feature a live, scalable deployment of the Personal Signal Assistant® (PSA) V2X service. The system runs on a cloud-based Vehicle-to-Network (V2N) architecture, connecting vehicles directly to real-time signal intelligence with no roadside hardware required. Attendees can witness critical applications in action, including Green Light Optimized Speed Advisory (GLOSA), Time-to-Green (TTG), Red Light Assist (RLA), and Vulnerable Road User (VRU) safety alerts.
“Taking people on the tech tour and watching the moment it all clicks — sitting in an Audi on the streets of Detroit, receiving real-time signal intelligence directly from the traffic network — that is when the impact of this technology becomes undeniable,” said Thomas Bauer, Vice President, V2X Sales at Miovision. “Our cloud-based V2N architecture makes this possible right now, without waiting years for cities to invest in costly roadside infrastructure.”
At Miovision’s booth, visitors will discover how intelligence and connectivity are reshaping mobility through a comprehensive showcase of Miovision’s latest hardware and software innovations. A major attraction is Mateo, Miovision’s GenAI-powered virtual traffic engineering assistant, which helps transportation teams transition from manual data processing to proactive, evidence-led network management. Live Mateo demonstrations will run alongside a hardware showcase featuring a Demo Core DCM, a 360 camera, a Smartview Approach camera, a Scout Plus unit, and a HARMAN unit.
Also debuting at ITS America on June 9, Miovision AI Studio™ launches as the industry’s first Generative AI workspace builder for intelligent Mobility operations. Integrated into the Miovision One platform and powered by Mateo, AI Studio enables traffic departments to build custom interactive dashboards and generate specialized reports using plain-language prompts, replacing static dashboards with real-time, customizable environments.
With nearly 600 signals already deployed across the city, Miovision and HAAS Alert are launching a 90-day cloud-based Emergency Vehicle Preemption pilot with the Detroit Fire Department, beginning June 15, 2026. The pilot uses connected traffic signals and cloud technology across key intersections in the Transportation Innovation Zone in Detroit’s Corktown and Michigan Central neighborhoods, modernizing how fire and EMS services operate to deliver faster response times and improved outcomes for both first responders and the residents they serve. Local residents may notice traffic signals changing slightly earlier than a siren is heard, allowing intersections to clear safely before fire trucks approach, with normal traffic flow resuming quickly.
“Traditional signal timing approaches can’t keep pace with the complexity of today’s intersections, and ITS America Conference and Expo is the ideal stage to show the transportation industry what comes next,” said Kurtis McBride, Chief Executive Officer, Miovision. “The tools to transform how cities manage traffic exist today, and we are here to show transportation professionals exactly what intelligent Mobility looks like when it is fully realized.”
Miovision will lead critical discussions throughout the conference’s educational programming, including:
- On Thursday, June 11, Chief Executive Officer Kurtis McBride will headline a Plenary Session, “From Vision to Reality: Enabling the Next Generation of Transportation,” at 8:30 a.m.
- On Friday, June 12, we will feature two sessions led by Miovision experts:
- Session SIS65, “Supercharge your Team with an AI-Powered Virtual Traffic Operations Agent,” featuring special guest Irfan Khan from Toyota InfoTech Labs, at 9 a.m.
- Session SIS66, “Reactive to Proactive: Transforming Safety with Kinetic Energy Analytics and V2X Technology”, featuring Tony Geara, from the City of Detroit, and Abraham Emmanuel, from the Chicago Department of Transportation, at 9 a.m.
As a Corporate Collaborator of ITS America, Miovision’s presence at this event reflects its commitment to equipping traffic professionals with real-world tools that improve traffic flow, road safety, and operational efficiency across communities worldwide, serving more than 5,000 customers in 68 countries.
