India – Nagarro recently shared an update on its progress across leading global sustainability indices, with marked year-on-year improvement across key benchmarks, backed by stronger underlying governance systems and more comprehensive, transparent public disclosures.
In 2025, EcoVadis placed Nagarro among the top five percent of participating companies globally, awarding a score of 79 and a Gold Medal. ISS ESG upgraded Nagarro to a C+ rating with Prime status. The company’s S&P Global score rose to 52 in 2025, reflecting continued progress on its sustainability agenda. Nagarro’s MSCI rating improved to BBB in 2025, an especially important benchmark for investors, while its CDP rating advanced to B.
This progress reflects a more structured approach to climate action, including expanded emissions coverage, independent third-party verification, and deeper analysis of climate-related risks and opportunities. Nagarro has also validated its emissions reduction targets towards its Net Zero goals under the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). Together, these steps have strengthened its sustainability programs and improved the quality and governance of its non-financial disclosures.
Ganesh Sahai, CTO and Sustainability Head of Nagarro, added, “Improvement across these benchmarks reflects a more disciplined and structured approach to sustainability across the business. Over time, we have strengthened our underlying systems, expanded and externally validated our emissions data, and built a clearer view of climate-related risks and opportunities. This has helped us move with greater consistency and control. In parallel, we are embedding sustainability into the digital solutions we build, with a sharper focus on efficiency, inclusivity, and long-term impact for our clients. The shift is now beginning to reflect in how we are being evaluated.”
In the near term, Nagarro aims to increase renewable electricity sourcing from 8.46% in 2023 to 100% by 2030 and sustain that level thereafter. It targets a 55% reduction in absolute Scope 1 emissions and a 61.07% reduction in upstream Scope 3 emissions intensity by 2033, both against the 2023 base year. Over the long term, its Net-Zero 2050 targets include a 97% reduction in absolute Scope 1 emissions and upstream Scope 3 emissions intensity against the 2023 base year.
With each cycle, Nagarro is closing gaps, improving consistency, and strengthening credibility with stakeholders. Central to the company’s approach is Eco-Digital. The strategy centers on building green, inclusive digital solutions that reduce the environmental footprint of IT operations while also helping clients meet their own sustainability goals, combining footprint assessments, targeted decarbonization, and green coding training for engineers.
