NeoCortec, manufacturer of the ultra-low-power bi-directional wireless mesh networking protocol stack NeoMesh, congratulates its distribution partner Endrich Bauelemente Vertriebs GmbH on winning the “Product of the Year 2026” award from the German electronics trade magazine Elektronik for its NeoMesh USB-Gateway. In the magazine’s recent readers’ choice awards, a total of 80 products competed across eight categories. In the Information Technology category, the “e-IoT-USBGW-MESH-NCxxx-USB” (full product name) received the award.
Thomas Steen Halkier, CEO of NeoCortec, comments: “We warmly congratulate our distribution partner Endrich and are equally delighted about this award, as the NeoMesh USB Gateway utilizes our NeoMesh wireless mesh networking protocol.” Halkier adds: “We work closely with Endrich to equip many of the products in their e-IoT ecosystem with our low-power, highly scalable wireless mesh networking protocol and the associated software stack.”
The NeoMesh USB-Gateway is part of Endrich’s e-IoT ecosystem and transforms PCs, industrial controllers, and single-board computers with native USB interfaces into powerful NeoMesh-to-Cloud gateways for IoT applications. It connects energy-efficient wireless sensor networks to the cloud, enabling reliable data transmission for applications such as smart cities, industrial monitoring, environmental monitoring, and predictive maintenance.
The product is based on NeoCortec’s NeoMesh wireless mesh networking protocol and its associated software stack. NeoMesh is ideally suited for intelligent sensor networks in which each device must send and receive small data packets at irregular intervals with high reliability. The protocol is optimized for ultra-low power consumption and is designed for networks with a large number of nodes. In such applications, NeoMesh enables network operation on small batteries for several years. Unlike most other mesh networking technologies, NeoMesh is dynamic and can scale to thousands of nodes, with very few limitations on network size and depth. NeoMesh is also self-healing, meaning that if a node fails, the system automatically reroutes the signal.
