Bangalore- Less work during installation, more fiber optic connectivity in the rack. R&M meets this demand of many data centers operators with expanded models of the Netscale patch panels. R&M is launching the distribution platforms Netscale 72 and Netscale 48 with two and four vertical rack units. With the stacked solutions, 19-inch racks can be equipped more quickly with a dense FO infrastructure. In addition, R&M is releasing the Netscale 72 platform for retrofitting the latest miniature and multi-fiber connector systems. This means that users can connect up to 3,456 fibers on the four vertical racks.

R&M, the globally active Swiss developer and provider of high-end infrastructure solutions for data and communications networks, is thus accelerating the transformation to Ultra-High Density cabling. With Netscale distributors, data centers can easily set up networks for 400, 800 or 1600 Gigabit Ethernet, high-performance computing and AI clusters.

Netscale 72 supports the parallel optical cabling types BASE8 and BASE12. This means that distributor modules for both applications fit in the same drawers. In the case of a migration, technicians only have to change or add to the trays. A Netscale height unit has six drawers that open on one side, allowing technicians to work on individual connections without having to unplug others. You can freely select cable types and splice configurations.

In addition to MPO, SC and LC connectivity, Netscale 72 supports the new multi-fiber and Very Small Form Factor connectors: CS, SN, MDC, MPO16, SN-MT and MMC. Thanks to the high flexibility of the Netscale platform, network capacities can be scaled, consolidated or adapted to new requirements without time-consuming conversion work. Data centers can thus make better use of the valuable space in computer rooms.

A basic solution is the mixed media patch panel Netscale 48 which simultaneously supports copper and fiber optic cabling. This allows data centers to gradually replace older infrastructures during ongoing operations. Netscale 48 also supports Ultra-High Density infrastructures. The sensors for automated infrastructure management with R&M inteliPhy are suitable for all Netscale models.

Netscale patch panels from R&M are now also available with two and four height units for 19-inch racks.
