New Delhi, India – 10 New Zealand technology companies will showcase New Zealand’s high-quality, innovative, niche and sustainable solutions as part of the New Zealand Pavilion at the 33rd Convergence India Expo 2026, held from 23 to 25 March 2026 at Bharat Mandapam. This is the first time New Zealand has hosted a pavilion at the Expo, shining a spotlight on New Zealand’s thriving technology sector.
Collaboration with India is not new – New Zealand companies are already providing niche solutions across multiple tech subsectors such as agritech, fintech, healthtech, aerospace and SaaS that are being scaled to support India’s exciting and ambitious growth. New Zealand technology was part of India’s first moon landing in 2023; it is also being used to secure India’s parliament building in New Delhi; while New Zealand fintech solutions are helping to reshape India’s fast-moving property market.
With a stable, business-friendly environment, strong governance, high ethical standards and progressive regulatory system, New Zealand is an ideal partner for Indian companies. The recently concluded New Zealand-India Free Trade Agreement will open even more doors for collaboration by enhancing market access, removing barriers to trade, improving talent mobility and strengthening economic connections between our two countries.
The Agreement also includes a commitment by New Zealand to promote investment into India, with the aim of increasing private sector investment by US$20 billion over 15 years.
“New Zealand has much to offer as an agile, trusted partner with high-quality, innovative, niche and sustainable solutions in priority sectors and a commitment to building meaningful, long-term partnerships in India.
Exhibiting at Convergence India will allow New Zealand companies to showcase the breadth of New Zealand’s tech offering and how our cutting- edge technologies are solving real-world challenges in India and globally,” says Graham Rouse, New Zealand Trade Commissioner and Consul-General to India, New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE).
“Not only that, it will also highlight the existing strong connections we have here – many New Zealand companies are actively establishing teams in India, enabling them to play a deeper, more meaningful role in India’s economy while delivering mutual growth and prosperity. This demonstrates New Zealand’s ongoing commitment to collaboration and further strengthens the trade and economic ties between our two countries.”
