Hsinchu, Taiwan – Nuvoton Technology Corporation has announced the launch of latest LQFP128 compact-package microprocessors in the NuMicro® MA35D0 series: the MA35D05KH67C, MA35D05KI67C, and MA35D05KJ67C. Designed for industrial edge devices, smart gateways, renewable energy systems, and related applications, these new MPUs enable developers to rapidly build next-generation edge computing platforms that combine high performance, robust security, and cost efficiency.
The MA35D05KH67C, MA35D05KI67C, and MA35D05KJ67C feature a dual-core 64-bit Arm® Cortex®-A35 architecture operating at up to 650 MHz and integrate a dedicated Arm® Cortex®-M4 real-time processing core operating at 180 MHz. This heterogeneous architecture delivers both high-performance computing and real-time control capabilities, making the devices well suited for Tiny AI and machine learning edge applications.
To simplify system design and reduce development complexity, all three compact-package MPUs integrate built-in DDR SDRAM with capacities of up to 512 MB. This integration helps reduce PCB layer count, minimize system size, and lower EMI (electromagnetic interference), making the devices particularly suitable for space-constrained and industrial environments.
For security, the MA35D0 series LQFP128 MPUs incorporate Nuvoton Trusted Secure Island (TSI) technology and integrate multiple protection mechanisms, including Arm® TrustZone®, Secure Boot, and a hardware security engine. The devices support AES, SHA, ECC, RSA, SM2/3/4, TRNG, Key Store, and OTP Memory to safeguard sensitive data and device identities while meeting industrial cybersecurity requirements such as IEC 62443 and the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA).
To address high-speed connectivity and industrial control requirements, the new devices provide a rich set of peripheral interfaces, including Gigabit Ethernet, USB 2.0 High-Speed Host/Device, SD 3.0/eMMC, CAN FD, Quad SPI, UART, I2C, I2S, PWM, and ADC. Developers can also accelerate evaluation and deployment of industrial edge and IIoT applications using the NuMaker-IoT-MA35D0-A2 (Chili Pro) Linux development platform powered by the MA35D05KI67C MPU.
Nuvoton stated that as smart manufacturing, Industrial IoT, and edge AI markets continue to expand rapidly, demand is increasing for industrial-grade MPUs that combine high performance, real-time control, and robust cybersecurity protection. The launch of the NuMicro® MA35D0 series LQFP128 compact-package MPUs — MA35D05KH67C, MA35D05KI67C, and MA35D05KJ67C — will help customers accelerate product development and build safer, smarter edge computing devices.
