New Delhi – Panasonic Life Solutions India (PLSIND), through its IGNITION Open Innovation platform, today announced the second cycle of Co.lab Studio by IGNITION, its business-first startup collaboration initiative focused on co-creating scalable digital services and solutions with startups.

Following the launch of Co.lab Studio earlier this year, which drew 173 applications from over 20 countries and culminated in co-creation partnerships with Portl and Sensio (Orbyt) to integrate AI-powered wellness and wearable technologies into MirAIe. The second cycle marks the next step in Panasonic’s open innovation journey, with a sharper focus on translating startup innovation into tangible business outcomes. The programme will bring together a focused cohort of startups to co-create solutions around Safety & Security and Daily Living solutions for communities, leveraging Panasonic’s AI and IoT-enabled connected living platform, MirAIe.

Co.lab Studio is designed as a strategic, long-term capability for Panasonic to work deeply with a select number of high-quality startups. Rather than operating as a conventional accelerator or investment programme, the initiative is focused on moving beyond discovery and experimentation towards problem framing, pilot execution, platform integration and commercialization readiness.

Through Cycle 2, selected startups will work closely with Panasonic’s business, product and technology teams to develop and validate MirAIe-aligned solutions. The programme will follow a structured journey from startup selection and integration with the MirAIe platform to pilot deployment with relevant business units, validation against revenue-aligned KPIs and potential scale-up of commercially ready solutions through IGNITION.

Speaking on the second cycle of Co.lab Studio, Mr. Manish Misra, Chief Innovation Officer, Panasonic Life Solutions India (PLSIND) and Head of India Innovation Centre, said: “Co.lab Studio reflects our ambition to make open innovation outcome-driven and tied to real business needs. With Cycle 2, we are deepening our engagement with startups to solve for Safety & Security and Daily Living, combining their agility with Panasonic’s technology and scale to move fast from concept to validated, commercially ready pilots.”

At the core of Cycle 2 is MirAIe, Panasonic’s AI and IoT-enabled connected living platform. Startups participating in the programme will have the opportunity to integrate their solutions with the MirAIe ecosystem and work directly with Panasonic’s product and business leaders. This is intended to enable faster enterprise validation, refinement of product-market fit and the development of integration-ready solutions.

The second cycle reinforces Co.lab Studio’s role within IGNITION as a repeatable and scalable open innovation engine, focused on creating tangible outcomes for both Panasonic and participating startups. These outcomes include working pilots, validated MirAIe-aligned use cases and solutions that are ready for integration and potential commercialization.

Panasonic invites startups with relevant capabilities and solutions in the identified focus areas to participate in the second cycle of Co.lab Studio by IGNITION.
