Panasonic Life Solutions India (PLSIND) hosted the ‘Co.lab Studio by IGNITION Roadshow’ at KEONICS, HSR Layout, Bangalore, bringing together high-potential startups, ecosystem partners, and government stakeholders to accelerate real-world co-creation with its AI-powered connected living platform, MirAIe.

To operationalize this model, Panasonic has partnered with LINK Innovation as the program’s operating partner. The two organizations will work closely to translate business priorities into startup sourcing, collaborations, pilot execution, and platform integration. Panasonic retains full strategic, platform, and branding ownership of the program under IGNITION, while leveraging LINK Innovation’s expertise in moving enterprise pilots toward deployment.

Designed as a working platform rather than a showcase, the roadshow enabled direct dialogue between startups and decision-makers through leadership keynotes, program deep-dives, live startup pitches, and fireside discussions. The initiative has already seen strong traction, with over 120 applications received from startups across India within just four weeks.

The program is structured to move beyond traditional outreach into execution, aligning startup capabilities with real business challenges and progressing them toward pilots and deployment. Participation from the Government of Karnataka highlighted K-tech initiatives, existing startup support frameworks, and policy direction, reinforcing the state’s role in enabling enterprise-startup collaboration at scale.

Speaking on Panasonic’s innovation strategy in India, Manish Misra, Chief Innovation Officer, India Innovation Centre (IIC), PLSIND, said “India presents a unique convergence of strong engineering talent, a vibrant startup ecosystem and a rapidly evolving consumer landscape. At Panasonic, we are aligning these strengths through platforms like MirAIe to create real, scalable outcomes. Co.lab Studio reflects our shift towards business-first co-creation where startups are embedded into our ecosystem to build solutions that can move swiftly from pilot to market.”

Ms. Souad Tenfiche, CEO, LINK Innovation, said, “What we are building with Panasonic is a repeatable model of co-creation where the emphasis is not just on identifying innovation, but on integrating it. Our focus is on working with startups that demonstrate technical and commercial readiness, and ensuring that collaborations translate into tangible outcomes—where enterprise requirements and startup agility come together to create scalable solutions.”

Discussions during the roadshow reflected a broader shift in corporate innovation—from proof-of-concept-led experimentation to deeper integration and commercialization. A fireside chat themed “From Pilots to Platforms” explored how enterprises and startups can bridge the innovation-to-scale gap, with a focus on interoperability, platform-led ecosystems like MirAIe, and enabling startups to transition from pilot to product to large-scale deployment.

As Panasonic advances Co.lab Studio into future cycles with sector-focused cohorts, the long-term objective is to build a strong pipeline of enterprise-ready startups embedded within its digital and product ecosystem. The initiative underscores Panasonic’s evolving role in India—not only as a technology company, but as a platform-led enabler of innovation where startups can integrate, scale, and deliver measurable impact.
