At the Engineering Design Show (EDS) in Coventry on the 9th and 10th October 2024, Powell Electronics will be showing the latest product solutions from some if its key franchises. These include connectors, sensors and other electromechanical components for high-reliability applications including defense, aerospace and industrial applications.

Visitors to Powell’s stand G25 will be able to see products and meet guest representatives from Honeywell, Cinch, Amphenol, Adam Tech and Powell Agricultural Solutions.

On display at Powell’s stand will be Honeywell’s MIP series of heavy duty, media-isolated pressure transducers. Benefiting from a compact, stainless steel construction, the products are ideal for use with a wide range of media including aggressive fluids and water. They provide a very cost-competitive solution for a wide range of applications in tough environments where the sensor functionality and the need to know internal or external failure modes is critical.

Powell – Cinch CinAPSE

One other key product shown at the stand will be the unique, Z-axis compression CIN::APSE interconnects from Cinch. These provide superior mechanical and electrical performance under the most extreme mechanical shock and vibration conditions. The high-density components are crimpless and solderless. They enable a quick installation for board to board, IC to board, flex to board and component to board connections in high-speed digital, flex circuit and PCB applications.

From Amphenol Sine Systems, one solution that will be showcased will be the high-performance and cost-effective AT series connectors. These are IP68/69K rated when mated and offer superior environmental seal and seal retention capabilities for a variety of applications such as: automotive, heavy vehicle, transportation, marine, medical, military, alternative energy and agricultural. They incorporate an integral latching system ensuring a definitive electrical and mechanical connection.

The ESF/ESM series energy storage connectors from Adam Tech provide a critical link between battery modules. This link ensures safe and reliable connections in energy storage systems, such as electric vehicle charging, renewable energy devices, and both industrial and consumer energy storage systems. Various voltage ratings, current ratings, and wire gauges are supported, making this series compatible with a wide range of applications. Compatible dust covers are available, providing additional protection.

Furthermore, at the EDS Conference, there will be several presentations from Powell and its key franchises taking place in Workshop Theatre 1:

Wednesday 9th Oct, 10.30am – 11.15am, “Solving extreme vibration, shock, speed and space issues using Cin::APSE® technology”, hosted by Cinch Connectivity Solutions

Wednesday 9th Oct, 11.30am – 12.15pm, “How High-Speed Data Communication is used on Industrial Machinery” hosted by Powell Agriculture Solutions

Thursday 10th Oct, 10.30am – 11.15am, “Getting Ahead of the Game with Cost Saving Design Solutions”, hosted by Adam Tech

Thursday 10th Oct, 11.30am – 12.15pm, “Navigating the AI Revolution: Honeywell Sensors Industrial AI Insights from Global Leaders on Automation Strategies and Best Practices”, hosted by Honeywell
